but most planets are barely visited thoroughly.. in some we only see one city or at most a small area.
In others, just a " fly by" or a small battle.
They have not much " iconic " in them.
Hogwarts and Diagon are pivotal, same as the Weasley's house, Harry's house and the Ministry of Magic.
I think we're in agreement.:)

Anyone else skeptical about this land? I mean the concept art looks unbelievably amazing and detailed but that is exactly why I'm skeptical as to how much it'll really look like that after Disney goes through their "process". Looking forward to more info about the Millennium Falcon ride because right now it just sounds like a slight step above a cross between Mission: Space and Star Tours. Unlike New Fantasyland I hope these lands actually blow peoples' minds when completed.

and this...
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/tickets/

the average WDW guest doesn't know what the Magic Kingdom is. Malarkey.

Have never spoken to a single person at WDW or who has gone to WDW who didn't know the "Magic Kingdom" referred to the original/castle park and that WDW world referred to the entirety of Disney-Orlando. To the extent there are any, those are the actual 0.01%, not the other way around.

I know a few family's that call the magic kingdom disney word and than the rest I'd the rest.

Moving Star Tours is not completely out of the question. A bunch of the Body Wars hardware went to Hong Kong. So 800 yards is probably doable.
Why move it when you can theme it to something else in five years and market three new rides for less money than it would cost to have two new rides and a moved Star Tours?

Yeah a total retheme of exterior is likely I'm guessing but interior not likely. But the endor entrance and the tatoonie exit obviously won't mesh with new planet.

I'm sick to absolute death of Tatooine.
I was groaning every time the dumb place kept on coming up in the prequel movies.
Can't tell you how happy I was to see that the Disney parks concept art depicts someplace interesting and different.

Here's to hoping the desert planet shown in the new movie's trailer is someplace different that just happens to look like Tunisia.
The planet is called Jakku according to JJ from a few months ago. Of course who knows if Tatooine shows up in the movie at all but we do know it's not the planet in that trailer.

I sorry if this has been mentioned but do we know officially what part of the park (which 14 acres) will be used for this park?

Not yet, only speculation 14 acres for this, 11 acres for the other.. but there are some good odds based on the recent closures that Toy Story land will encompass portions around TSMM.

argument of the planet used for theming aside, their putting the Falcon out in front so who the heck cares. If you can explore the inside of the Falcon I'm stoked. The location is less important as the characters, crafts/vehicles and space cowboy'ish theming this brings.

So what your saying is you only have one source ... they may of given you bad information to plug the leaks. You can't just put out all the info you are given either, if you can't verify if it is true or false.

The person I got the info from has given me tons of info over the years that I've shared on this site. They are 100% credible. If I didn't think they were, I wouldn't have posted the info.

The only thing they have ever been wrong about was that Captain EO was never coming back (which I had erroneuosly reported on this site).

You can choose to believe it or not. I'm just sharing what I was told because I was lucky enough to have the info and figured others would like it as well. There is really nothing earth-shattering about the info which, I'm sure, is why it was shared. If you look at the concept art, it's pretty easy to see how everything fits (although I certainly didn't see it at first – when they started walking me through where everything was, I think I must've said "oh no" twenty times).

They shared zero info about the details of the attractions themselves, which I imagine is being held close to the vest. I wasn't going to push for more information than was readily given.

Doesn't anyone else think they were emphasizing passenger *control* of the Milennium Falcon for this new ride? Ie technology that surpasses Star Tours?

Maybe, or it could just be PR-speak. Remember, is ST "you" are the Rebel spy. Have you ever been chosen? I've ridden the ride 100 times and never have been. Not everyone is the Rebel spy, but they certainly imply that.

The keyword here, though, is "control."
