Found it from earlier in this thread. 14 acres would require space behind Star Tours and Cantina, hopefully meaning two new rides along with Star Tours.
As far as I know Star Tours and Star Wars will be adjacent.Third possibility, but probably the least likely:
D. 2 new rides, Star Wars Land physically detached from where Star Tours currently is, and Star Tours rethemed to something else.
I'm sure @marni1971 could tell us which in about three seconds.
Couple things:
1. Too many pages to go thru, but any word yet as to SW Land being identical/different on both coasts?
I talked to my friend about it today (a Star Wars nerd if ever there was one), and it infuriated him.2. What's the general feeling amongst SW nerdom regarding Disney chosing to go with an new planet rather than a place in the SW universe that they've been dreaming of visiting their whole lives?

We're ahead of the PR department. Is this official? If so, link please?
you still have to sum delays, unexpected stuff (economy tanking again? and security or life event?.. like a hurricane)Breaking Ground 2017. Cars Land took from 2009 - 2012, New Fantasyland in 2010 and it was competed in 2014 and Pandora broke ground in 2014 and is opening 2017. Those lands are similar is size, detail and scale to what they have shown us for Star Wars Land. Based on the recent history 2020 is the earliest we will see Star Wars Land.
I wonder if they are planning to open both areas on the same day? It would be great to have a nice May the 4th celebration opening the new lands on both coasts the same day.

Prime Time is staying but is getting re-themed. It will still be character dining (obviously it must be SW characters though).
Brown Derby is on the other side and is not part of the expansion.
If I recall, JK Rowling herself referred to the WWoHP as a theme park. This will likely be a common misconception by anyone not following this closely, including the media. I understood the confusion over Potter as many news sources called it a "park" from the day it opened. And you can't really blame those confused by the term "land" when that's what the original theme park is called to this day.

Great news!!!
Jimmy Thick- Long time coming...
until you find the paycheck is barely above minimum and you have to eat noodles to make ends?God I would love to work on the Star Wars Land lol
I believe they would miss a great opportunity to make small variations of the environments and now an outright copy. From what they have said both the Lands will be identical, and the way they talked about the world it is one from the movies not necessarily the force awakens perhaps one from further down the line.
There can be no mistakes this time!
The voices in his head? Can I ask who by?
(Obviously not a name)
but would it beat the Frozen M&G?That may be the longest line in the history of Disney Parks.
Whoever it is, they're fired.
What would be the point of adding to the Star Tours scenes to tear it all out in a year? From the D23 presentation, I would gather we're looking at two attractions plus Star Tours.
Prime Time doesn't have character dining ...
"The company said Saturday that groundbreaking for the “Star Wars” lands will be in 2017."
Worth repeating since it's an often asked question.
Really? This was posted 20 pages ago.
The SW area will be built using the existing buildings around Echo Lake. The dark areas are the attractions/guest areas that will be removed. Everything else is simply being re-themed/skinned.
The original plans were to just add the Falcon and convert Backlot Express to the Cantina and, rather than being truly innovative, they just expanded the area to include all of Echo Lake.
When it was explained to me, I was shocked that you can basically see the entire layout in the concept art. The layout is completely consistent in each piece of concept art.
The only thing not known was where exactly the second attraction was going, or whether it was new or just an updated Star Tours.

He would have preferred that they either replicate one of the environments from the films, or have mini-sections replicating different environments and that a true Star Wars nerd would be content simply with a Millennium Falcon walk-through. Much like the Harry Potter fans, Star Wars fans want to visit the worlds they've seen in the films, not made-up ones. Based on his tone you'd have thought I was personally responsible for the decision!Interesting...did he mention what he wishes they'd build instead?
