What sort of an impact do you think weather will have on construction timelines? It's coming.

I'd assume average central Florida weather through the years was taken into account. What sort of an impact do you think weather will have on construction timelines?
Would that naturally have extended it beyond DL's timeframe? Granted we've had an unusually wet past couple months, but I have to feel like it would slow Florida down a bit more.I'd assume average central Florida weather through the years was taken into account.
Surely?
That I wouldn't know.Would that naturally have extended it beyond DL's timeframe? Granted we've had an unusually wet past couple months, but I have to feel like it would slow Florida down a bit more.
GotchaThat I wouldn't know.
It can slow down certain phases of construction, but quite a bit of it goes on rain or shine. Rain also tends to be a rather quick thing in Florida often lasting less than an hour or so. Full on, all day rainy days in Florida are not that common.Would that naturally have extended it beyond DL's timeframe? I remember when I lived there back in the early 90's, we could basically tell what time it was during the year when the thunder clouds would roll in and by a few hours later, they'd be gone.It can slow down certain phases of construction, but quite a bit of it goes on rain or shine. It was something that DHS should have been doing for all major movie releases - temporary entertainment. They used to do that more often with parades and such. The Frozen Summer Fun stuff was put together rather quickly and the fireworks and sing a long were the best parts of that campaign. I'm 100% on board with these types of temporary entertainment offerings and wished they would have done something similar for the animated movies that have come out since. It's popular because it's on the list of attractions in the park. Tourists aren't smart enough not to go.
Scott Trowbridge and Joe Rohde are the only people in Imagineering that have made E-tickets in Orlando in the 21st century. I'm not worried.Does Scott Trowbridge and staff have their work cut out for them when comparing what's going on over at DAK with Pandora? One has to admit AvatarLand looks breathtaking - even if you hate the franchise. Disney has to really hit it out of the park with SWL. Disney will be scrambling to expand land over record numbers flick to see it.

OK, I'll count Everest.And Rohde...
What about that guy with his erector set?OK, I'll count Everest.
I looked up Trowbridge's past work and it looked impressive. It looked like he did some work on PotterLand.Scott Trowbridge and Joe Rohde are the only people in Imagineering that have made E-tickets in Orlando in the 21st century. I'm not worried.
You guys are really crapping on my point with facts. Cut it out. What about that guy with his erector set?
1. I don't think that Disney will be worrying about a lack of crowds for the first year or two after this opens. Probably even longer, until the next big thing comes along to WDW.So I haven't really cared about following this too much because it is just so far off and everything however,
seeing Rogue One just got me really excited for whatever reason and I ened up going back through everything and wanted to get in on the discussions for DHS update.
At this point I only really have 2 questions:
1. How in the world are they going to populate the land as heavily as the seem to want?
2. When they say "everything is in character/story" does that mean no meets with characters like Boba Fett, Vader or Han, Leia, Luke
(as hinted in the artwork) or even potentially Rebels characters?

2. From what I'm understanding is that the land will be set in the time of the sequel movies. As for the M&Gs, face characters aren't currently happening anyways, and I don't see that policy changing anytime soon.
Got it! Yeah, I'm really looking forward to see what the streetmosphere brings.Sorry for #1 I was meaning cast members, guests are going to have that area packed so it will definitely seem "alive" at least
However having a staffed restaurant, cantina, street vendors, a "shop", ride attendants in addition to possibly character stuff like
patrolling troops seems like a huge amount of staff.
Also a musical act in either the restaurant or cantina(though I guess that could be animatronics or something)
I would hope they continue the Jedi Training for the kids. It's a very popular attraction. I know this won't happen but I'm holding out hope for an area for the Dagobah cave of evil1.
