Okay why does their Oga's get more food options?

Considering food options decreased temporarily in the resorts because of the opening... I'm guessing that while it's jampacked it's faster to have less options to prepare, especially since the CMs are getting used to cooking and serving this place. Oga's will likely start offering more stuff after a while I think

DHS has more now to do than ever before. As far as pure rides go, DHS now has more rides than at any point in its history. By next year, it will have 50% more rides than at its peak.

I’d go so far as to say it hasn’t even hit its peak yet. The shows and tours were generally better before TOT, RNRC, and of course Toy Story Land, which means with the exception of the GMR and the Christmas lights, this will be the first time there’s a complete balance of things to do throughout the park—especially if you visit frequently.

In your opinion. As a Star Wars fan +as opposed to just an OT fan) I think the creative direction of the land of great.
So you’re satisfied with a small cantina, no restaurant, no third attraction, and little entertainment? And you’re fine with the idea that the land is trapped in one timeframe to pimp the new movies instead of allowing plenty of SW from the OT, expanded universe, etc.?

Okay.

I know this is the wrong thread and it’s all been discussed plenty of times, so I won’t keep talking about the various choices made here.

Meanwhile, I’m glad to see it’s going to be successful in DHS, because that bodes well for future expansions.

Question:

Once you’ve joined a boarding group, do you have to stay in the park? Or can you hop over to Epcot or the Boardwalk area for a break without losing your place?

In a park with little else to do, SWGE will always look like a victory. Look at the lines for TSMM in DHS versus DCA.

Edit: but that doesn’t solve the land’s poor creative choices regarding content.
If you’re saying this mgm is still inadequate (as it has been since day 1)...I fully agree.

The most disappointing part about the last 4 years of construction - and I actually kinda like the Star Wars land - is that after it’s done, we’ll have a really underwhelming toy story land and a Star Wars land that’s not complete.

And the star tours/Indy/muppets dead end Land and the “oops...we stopped!” Sunset boulevard.

It’s still not good enough.
I'm so glad I got in for AP previews. It will be years before they land will be that uncrowded.
There is no reasonable evidence to support that now based on the Disneyland track record and greater economic patterns

I don’t think I like that tone there, Mikey...

It’s almost as though you are casting out the OT fans...who of course built the thing, grew it, promoted it, and lined Disney and George’s pockets.

And frankly...provide the cover still to this day that allows George, abrams and Kathy Kennedy to make horrid blunders and mistakes based in ego and a lack of knowledge.
As we've discussed, SWGE feels very static. The MF (and other ships) should have occasional bursts of steam/vapor or water dripping here and there, to make them feel more "active." The audio ambiance also seems to be pretty lacking or too subdued.
Where have I heard that before? Right...about the identical land recently opened...

Disneyland did do it right. People have their whole lives to see SW:GE... no reason to pack every possible human in right at opening.

People have long complained about Disney’s crowds - then, when Disney actually does something to mitigate the crowds - people label them a failure. Can’t win.

Maybe Disney should just be more like Universal and allow ten hour lines for new rides like there was for Hagrid’s. Now that’s success 🙄.

I think people labeled it as a failure because that section of the park is the least crowded and the ride doesn't always have the longest lines- this past weekend GE was a ghost town in the middle of the day, Falcon maybe hit 45 minutes when most other rides were near that or over it. Splash. Pirates, Pan, Space, Big Thunder, Storybook Land and Alice all had equal to or greater wait times than the new fancy attraction.

I think they also call it a failure because it's such an open land with not much to do except eat and shop.

I'm waiting to reserve judgement until I see RotR when it opens and hopefully if/when they add additional characters/experiences (like what was advertised). I wouldn't call this an immersive land like advertised, at least not yet.

So, how does access to the land work if you have an appointment for a droid built at 9am and lightsaber build at 1pm? I assume you can access those two places at least?

I can't wait for November to get here. By that time boarding groups will only be a long long time ago and a galaxy far away.

Well, the land will ultimately have two rides. That’s the same number of attractions New Orleans Square has, and NOS is maybe the best theme park land ever. But what is there to do in NOS besides the attractions, eat and shop? Just enjoy the ambiance.

Granted, the two rides in NOS are two of the best rides ever built. But that doesn’t change the fact that SW:GE will have two rides also, and RotR will probably be fantastic. So you have the rides, eating and shopping... that’s just pretty par for the course, I guess. Beyond that, you kind of just have to enjoy the theming and ambiance... both of which it seems SW:GE excels at. I like how large the land is, that means there’s more to explore.

I do agree, though, I hope they add more roaming aliens and droids. I’m not holding my breath, though. I’ll still enjoy it without those things, as they aren’t a dealbreaker. But it would have enhanced the experience.
