But...they aren't going to milk the thala sirens on the spot at the milk stand? No freshly milked banthas either? I thought this was supposed to be authentic.
Step on up kids....

FYI:

YouTuber said reservation(s) are to be a timed window. And something about Disney hotel guest reservations are limited to one every three weeks.

but the problem is Disney is trying to go to the next level of immersion by making it seem you are not in a theme park so their merch sales should also reflect that. they are going great lengths to make you feel you are no longer in Disneyland except in this one area.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has some great detail, too, but never for a second do I think I'm not in a theme park. You're holding this place to an impossible standard. Is there a mass-market commercial theme park anywhere in the U.S. that makes you forget you're in a theme park? How are people going to stand in turnstiles for an admission ticket, walk onto an early 20th Century midwest main street with a fairy-tale castle at the end of it, walk through the park with all manner of rides and attractions, reach Galaxy's Edge and enter it, and not think they are in a theme park? Of course, it's a theme park. It ain't Westworld.

(...and there weren't six seats in the cockpit of the Falcon...oh, noes!!!..illusion shattered!!...)

You meant July 18th I presume, since that was Disneyland's Opening Day.

I think July 17 it has become officially enshrined as "opening day" even though the first day open to the public was July 18, which was celebrated as the first anniversary a year later. Similarly, 1973 was celebrated as the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney Productions, even though it was Walt and Roy's first effort in the garage in L.A.

DB--you of all people should know "you can't fight City Hall". LOL

It’ll be really fun when the Falcon ride goes down for extended periods. :D Yeah, I’m thinkin’ I’ll just stay away for awhile. Good time to be a Disneyland fan who can take or leave SW and just enjoy everything else.

Well, with 4 turntables, unless the entire building has electrical or fire issues, it's more likely to drop to 75% or 50% capacity rather than close completely.

I keep thinking about the people in California who are going to just show up during the May 31 - June 23 "reservation" window and have no clue about getting an entrance reservation. That's going to be ugly, unless there's a chunk of those reservations set aside for "walk-up" guests throughout the day.

Anyway, May 31 is going to be a very fun day on YouTube. I'll probably stay away from Twitter.
