Its cute how you still are using videos as your basis for what is and isn't in the land. Even after you've been proven wrong a lot of times including this time.

It’s adorable that you still think there needs to be a person named Oga physically within the building.

So now that the mutual condescension is over. The land is less than 2 months old, and things are already changing within the land. The land was always meant to change over time, not just story but overall, and appears to be happening.

For example in the most recent MiceAge report (take it with a grain of salt) they're reporting Disney is already tinkering with adding additional music within different areas of the land. So one of the largest complaints about the land, lack of music, is being addressed. So tell me again how I'm being naive.....

But again you wouldn't know about any of that because its not in some video.

Is the lack of obligatory Star Wars music really that big of a complaint from the average guest or just the usual group of people that would’ve hated the land anyway? After walking through the land numerous times and hearing how much effort was put into the soundscapes(both ambiant and source music)it’s such a non issue.

When did they last update Mission Breakout's queue?

Before the land opened I joked with my friends whether or not it would have John Williams' scores played throughout the land or . Turns out it was neither. As much as I understand people wanting Williams' iconic music, and rightly so, I think having music like that in the Cantina playing in the market would be great. Falcon's queue is desperately in need of music of any kind, though.

yes because the land should have music. why hire john williams to form a brand new star wars score only to hardly use it in the land? it's a waste of great talent.

I personally was ok with the ambient sounds of ships, creatures, and such playing throughout the land. It made for an interesting experience as I felt more "in" land.

From what MC is reporting its not some much adding more music, but rather extending the music zones into other areas:

we have noticed that some areas of Black Spire Outpost have expanded their sounds zones a bit. Specifically, we’ve noticed more of the Batuu radio (the one that includes DJ-R3X’s broadcast from the cantina) creeping into different parts of the outpost, as well as the Docking Bay 7 Patio Music now being played in the side dining room where no music was being played before. We sure hope that the main dining room for Docking Bay 7 is next.

So I fully expect them to continue to tinker with music through all other parts of the land.

There really hasn't been any changes since then? Not even just moving things around? That was in January of 2018. I'm going to go ahead and say the same neglect will happen with Galaxy's Edge.
We shall see, with Phase 3 just ending I kind of expect an update soon. I would also expect one when the rest of the land opens sometime next year.

They never said the updates would happen at specific times, just that it would be updated periodically to keep it fresh.

Adding music throughout the land would add a lot to the experience imo (and add to the story they're trying to tell with the land/ what they want you to feel from it), so it would be great for them to add music on top of those soundscapes. And music could give kids attachment to the land and nostalgia when they get older. (I think music is the most nostalgic thing ever). They could find explanations for the music too so that it would make sense lol, it really isn't that hard.

I wish they would update the queue more. Those vyloos are my favorite thing about Mission Breakout. And by favorite thing, I mean only aspect of the entire attraction I like besides the astronaut dog. Bring in more cute alien creatures for the queue, Disney! I don't care if they're from the MCU, comics, or just completely made up, I can never get enough of colorful, fun aliens.

Speaking of colorful, fun, aliens, the Sequel Trilogy, as well as Galaxy's Edge, could certainly benefit from such. The bland earth tones of the ST are just so drab.

The only place I could think of where music would be appropriate is the area near the Falcon since it’s a big wow moment. The rest can keep the natural ambiant stuff. You don’t need to be hit over the head with the Star Wars theme every 10 feet.

It doesn't even need to be John Williams sounding. Just add music. They can add woodwind sounding tunes, simple, and explainable, just alien natives playing some tunes or something. Put little breaks in between the loop so it seems real. Maybe some of the simple woodwind/ percussion tunes are recognizable as little easter eggs or something. It doesn't need to be exactly Star Wars as you hear in the films, with horns and full orchestra. A lot more low-key, but still music.

And that could juxtapose the Falcon area and the outpost.

You put more thought into your Oga story and Disney did on theirs or the entire land to begin with. and its cute you think they are going to update the story of the land over time and you fell for that line. Its adorable to see someone that naive still exists.

You want Oga?! YOU CAN'T HANDLE OGA!!!

But @THE 1HAPPY HAUNT I thought I was being naive because WDI wouldn't be updating the story. So still think I'm naive? It appears WDI is adding more and more as we progress.

Off-topic: MCU phase 4 looks boring. Without the investment in the infinity stones, I have zero interest in the new movies. The selling point at Comic-Con was “Look! Diversity!” instead of strong storytelling, perhaps to appeal to...idk. Maybe the Hollywood execs could pat themselves on the back for checking boxes? Maybe it made HuffPost and Vox writers happy?

The Marvel and Star Wars movies should reflect the diversity of the real world by simply including it in their good stories, instead of making the casting itself the point. That’s merely stunt casting.

I wonder how long it’ll take for the general public to get tired of these new spaghetti westerns/beach movies/superhero products.

Yes, I believe that Endgame was aptly named for more than one reason.

I would not call it “off brand” since Galaxy’s Edge is clearly IP based on the Sequel trilogy that hasn’t yet arrived. That’s why I call it “beyond”. If you prefer another definition, it’s a “spin-off”.
But very few soon-offs are successful; most feel like off-brand products. The reaction to SWGE betrays the same feelings.

Luckily enough, this is all easy to fix. The land’s theming is generic enough that almost any SW property can fit into it.

They need to make the land feel more alive to approach what they promised.
They promoted GE as a land that goes far beyond the level of immersion that has ever been done by Disney - or Uni.
What they're presenting (so far) is a beautifully done land, with a Star Wars theme - but it's just a land.
I don't see any examples that show they have taken things any further at GE than anywhere else.
I expected costumed characters in the marketplace, maybe some characters in the cantina.
Droids at least behind barricades where kids can't destroy them.
Cast members prepping the ships...
I figured they would at least come out of the gate with things like this - put on the show - and then scale them back as they inevitably do.
