What a stupid thing to argue. We all know Disney putting out some dumb game on the app or releasing backstories on their blog is not growing the land in any way. Guarantee that 99.9% of guests don't know what Oga looks like, and further more they don't care. All they care about is that it's the Star Wars cantina and it's the best thing they have in Galaxy's Edge. Growing the land means adding new rides, new stores, new restaurants, new meet n greets, etc. Y'know, putting stuff actually in the land.

You’re starting to make sense...did they approve darvocet over the counter?😎

This is impressive...

I’m starting to like you. Not surprising since as mostly a Scotsman...we’re very “pro-ginger” 🤪

Sir, respectfully, starting to? You clearly haven’t been paying attention.

I'm excited for Dr. Strange because I really like his character and want to see him fully using his powers in (what sounds like) a more horror tinged atmosphere.

I'm excited for Thor because he's become my favorite Avenger and I love what Taika Waititi has done with his films.

Beyond that though... ? :🤷:

I loved Ragnarok! I don’t love a lot of the MCU but that one was great. It made me a fan of Taika’s but I don’t think he has much to work with given the perimeters of their woke new phase.

I would like to see an AA of it in the cantina so it's name would make sense. It should have been in there opening day along with R3x, greeting patrons as they enter its establishment and asking how they are enjoying their drinks and if they need anything.

I've got to agree with you on this one.
For a long time I've believed that Disney should add more AA's in places.
Here at the cantina in this land - where they emphasized the realism of this being an active and living environment - it would have made sense.
The AA wouldn't even need to be out the whole time.
They could have made it come out of a doorway, and say a few things at intervals.

The first art they released for the cantina featured a woman behind the bar. I believed, and I think others did as well, that she was Oga. I recall thinking it odd that out of everything Star Wars to chose from, they would have a human proprietor.
I thought that she was Oga.

I agree...but AAs as at cosmic Ray’s have a guaranteed longterm operational cost...staff and hardware.

This management seems to be really averse to that. Viewing it as a “useless cost”

I think Na’vi was protected by the great stickler of Hollywood...and we didnt get much of anything in toy story land. No AA’s beyond one queue guy.

Spartan in NFL too.

And remember: I'm a great defender of Galaxies Edge.
At the risk of repeating myself, Disney marketed a living breathing experience - not just a beautifully detailed land - quite far beyond the way they have ever done so before - and two rides.
Now, I took most of what was said with a large grain of salt and knew that a great deal of exaggeration and hype was being employed.
Still...
At this point, GE doesn't function any differently than does say - Africa in AK.

I disagree with your Africa comparison...

There is far more to see, eat and drink in Africa 😉

I'm sorry but you're wrong. You stated they wouldn't be updating the story of the land and I was naive to think so. I never mentioned how they would be updating the story of the land. So just because you don't like the method by which they are enhancing the story doesn't make you any less wrong. An AA isn't needed in order to tell a story especially in a bar.

Now with all that said, an AA would be cool, especially with the look of Oga they show in the App. And I wouldn't be surprised if they add an AA of Oga in the future.
having the first official pic of the cantina proprieter and savi is not updating the story of the land. it is back peddling trying to fix the mistake that should have been there since opening day. and its not even an "update" for that matter. its just "look here is a pic of creatures you cant see. see? we have a plan for that all along." its like trying to go back and touch the base to be safe in baseball after you missed it. call me when they actually add AA's or open the restuarant or open more of those closed doors around the land or have more shows, aliens, droids and music through out the land. NOW THOSE WOULD BE UPDATES

How many AA's are there in GE?

Because maybe Knott's with its new AA's at Calico River Rapids and The Timber Mountain Log Ride had more in 2019.
Depends on how you'd like to defend audio animatronic. If we're talking full on figures, there's at least four (DJ Rex, Dok Ondar, Hondo, and the spit droid). If you want to include the loth cat and the frog in the bar, that's at least six. Not sure how many beyond those, however.

ROTR will have a lot, if those count. There is also the drinking fountain critter. The creatures in the bar have matching counterparts on the other side of the bar, so do each count? And do the droids being sold count?
Do you mean the droids being sold in the workshop? Sure, they're animatronics. Only animatronic astromechs in the land, it seems. That puts us at 10 spread throughout 14 acres.

Are you sure that’s all you want? I’m trying to make a list.

Savis workshop or the droid factory? I only noticed R2D2 at the droid factory.

There's a BB unit and an R2 behind the counter in the droid factory. I also forgot the droid in Hondo's preshow, though, like many of these, it's quite simple and shouldn't be as big of a focal point as it is. Still, that brings us up to 11.

Okay. One AA of previously unknown alien owner of alien cantina. What should this figure do? Greet guests at door, serve drinks or do a 10 minute motion loop in the back of the room?
As I stated before it should be saying a general greeting to guests welcoming them and asking how they are enjoying their drinks and can she/it get them anything. they could put it behind the bar or near the entrance.
