..actually you are NOT trying to make a guess... you are trying to find an exact date. Just pick a date - make sure you can change your reservations, or just wait until you hear an official announcement. Asking EVERY DAY isn't going to win any brownie points.
I never wanted an exact date nor ask for one every day. And definitely not going to book those stupidly priced refundable airfares. I am only seeking to give myself the best chance to go after it has opened. And so far only used what disney has said themselves. But these rumors might change things. I am confused where any of these responses are coming from. I really am.

Have the Hondo and R-5 animatronics been added to smugglers run yet ?

You've asked that here a couple times and haven't gotten an answer.

No one here knows for sure. But as has been mentioned, given the fact we're a little over 45 days from any previews and the opening, one has to assume they've been installed for awhile now.

...not the exact answer to the Hondo question but...the First Order troopers have been added to RotR

I believe it was said in the press reports that they saw the Hondo preshow installed in California. He walks around (you don't see his feet) and he interacts with R5-P8.
The Hondo in shown in the video was said to be the Florida one, still being programmed before installation (I believe some aging will be done on the figure and clothes as it was a very clean version.)

I thought Lincoln was the Shaman in the Indian Village on the Rivers of America? I'm sure a Mark Twain Captain told me that when you translate his dialog he's saying "the world has never had a good definition of the world 'Liberty'."!

Really! Why would I make this up?

Enough! Enough of your words. Let your ‘new dawn’ lead to the final sunset on my people’s suffering.

Here is a link for better description:

STILL CALLING B.S. firstly it, it does not mention why a person would need to rent a headset. are they renting it because someone on the ground who will be in the land is going to be live streaming the experience of being in the land and going on the rides and you get to ride it through their eyes? if so why would they need to be on a roof.(also also, Disney would never have an even that would happen on a parking lot roof and charge someone 200 plus an additional 100 to rent a headset. that is stupid) 2ndly, it does not say what the main even is that the "winners" of the sweepstakes get. do they get to go into the land a day early? if so they would not hold this event at night. never. it never mentions how to enter this so called sweepstake in deatail. and if there is a sweepstakes why would there be a 349 registration fee. this stinks of B.S.

Haven't seen it mentioned here, but the Disney History Institute Podcast is doing an excellent series on the creation of Galaxy's Edge. I think most of us know the major points- but a few of the finer details I wasn't aware of, and it stays away from rumors and Freshbaked style reporting.

Here's the first episode: DHI Galaxy's Edge Part One

I subscribed to their bandcamp and finished the series... it's an excellent summary of what we know about Galaxy's Edge so far from a storytelling and creative perspective.
