I’ve found a couple good looking T shirts for men in the last few years but they re that Hanes construction cotton material that I hate.
The very last T-shirt I bought at DLR was a Mr. Potato Head shirt at TSMM's exit. It cost way too much and didn't survive one wear without tearing (and not because of my gut!) Done. :)

I agree with you. The more land-appropriate each piece of merch sold outdoors in each area is, the better. It's just Good Show. Main St. can never be 100% free of out-of-place imagery, but each bit that sticks to the script helps. Man, I wish DL was being run by someone who actually understood what it's all about.

Well since Main St is the only entrance and exit out of DL there has to be an exception made. Its the one major flaw in the original design of the park.

By that logic, though, they should sell anything and everything on Main Street. You gotta draw the line somewhere, and I'd draw it at Star Wars death machine balloons. :D At least take 'em out and sell em' on the other side of the tunnels. One entry in and out of DL isn't a flaw: it's part of the story and park security. Almost every other theme park in the country has just one public exit/entry.

Um, they do. Have you never been in the Emporium?

A few new tidbits.

I have to admit I'm liking the land more and more with all the neat touches and story elements they are adding in there. And those life size Ats-Ats! That's going to be incredible.

And the AR technology sounds really fascinating. No idea if or how that would fit into GE but if it does the possibilities are endless for future rides and exhibits.

Good video. He doesn't mention that easy accessible AR has been available for free on all phones through Pokemon Go since 2016...but the light saber project looks like great fun. Guests will be throwing out their shoulders and pulling muscles right and left, but it still looks fun.

A non-profitable SW film had to happen eventually. Still, it seems to be a solid movie that'll bring in new fans over the coming years, so it's probably a wash in the end.
It's the nature of the business. A normal studio wouldn't probably blink at this, but it hits harder for a company that has to hit a game-winning grand slam every time it steps up to the plate.

Agreed, but in the end its just a drop in the bucket for Disney. They have had a bunch of movies that have made up for any loss.

Actually, though, Disney can probably absorb this better than most. I do think it's a wake-up call for their handling of the franchise, though. It's as if the Movie-Going Public slapped Disney's wrist and and said, "NO! TOO SOON, MR. GREEDYGRABBER!" :D

Sure, $50 million is like pocket-change to Disney. But it's probably a bigger hit to the ego department. The Golden Goose has finally produced a silver egg.

Agreed. The fans come out ahead, though. I'd sure rather see Disney pop out an under-performing good movie instead of a profitable stinker. Nobody seems to hate Solo. Can't say the same for LJ.

Welp, my prediction that Solo wouldn't be a flop was wrong. Time to get a new crystal ball I guess. I'm genuinely very surprised by this, especially since it's a decent movie.
Committee meetings are going to over-analyze this to death. They'll get their top men on it. Will it happen again though? I'm sure it will. I personally think it all just came down to bad timing.
