Here's a Techcrunch article about the sentry robot I saw monitoring a parking garage in SF. Wish I could post the video I took but this will have to do. I can easily see something like these roaming around a hotel.

Knightscope’s K5 security bots resemble a mix between R2D2 and a Dalek from Doctor Who – and the system behind these bots is a bit Orwellian. The K5’s have broadcasting and sophisticated monitoring capabilities to keep public spaces in check as they rove through open areas, halls and corridors for suspicious activity

Thanks for digging this up. I'm getting more of a Dalek vibe than R2D2, what with that malevolent glare. Freaky indeed.

I tell people it's what Disney decided to build instead of the far superior WestCOT and its pretty much
just a red-headed stepchild dumping ground of DL leftovers...

Wait, I don't know if I understood your question correctly...
DCA was build because everyone else build parks that way. They copied the "theming" of six flags and but in cheap spinner rides. The place wasn't up to Disney standards. Therefore the did what everyone else is doing.

And it sucks for that reason (Past and present)!

Alls I'm saying is...paying money for a fastpass is dumb. And even more so because everyone else is doing it. Disney should lead by example and set themselves apart. But they won't, because all they care about are profits.

Solo made $28 million this weekend bringing its domestic total to $148 million and worldwide total to $264 million. For what it's worth, TLJ grossed $368 million domestically by its second weekend and Rogue One grossed $286 million domestically by its second weekend.

I won't called it a straight up bomb because it's going to make more than its budget and marketing costs once it leaves theaters. I call it probably in the $400-500 Million range. But I will say there was an error on Disney's part in the release schedule, resulting in the bad box office performance. December is should the SW release time.

Also I really do think that fans, the media, and even Disney have to adjust their expectation on box office returns for SW. Not every SW movies is going to break a Billion dollars. Marvel/Disney has already baked this into their formula, Lucas/Disney needs to do the same. These spin-off one-off standalone type movies are just going to be under Billion dollar performers. While the trilogies are going to be the big Billion dollar "Avengers" team-up type movies.

It's definitely going to lose the studio some money at this point, but I don't think it will win Deadline's top 5 contest by any means... probably a Wrinkle in Time will lose the studio more money.

However Star Wars losing the studio money is a kick in the pants, obviously. There are likely some home video dollars hanging out here long term when the fanbois come around a decade later and decide they love this movie. No one is going to buy a Wrinkle in time on 3D Greenbrainray in 10 years, but people will buy Solo.
