No argument about the media jumping all over a situation like this. They eat this stuff up, and Solo's an easy target because of its backstage drama about fired directors, reshoots, cost overruns, etc. Disney was certainly hoping for a bigger debut, but they also knew this movie had a lot of strikes against it they couldn't do anything about. At least it got good reviews; it'll build up a fan base on home viewings, and Ron Howard has nothing to apologize for. No film series can hit financial home runs every single time indefnitely: That's impossible.

I saw Solo yesterday, I enjoyed it quite a bit.
Much more than Last Jedi.
I don't like the choice of the actor playing Solo - I was ok with his performance, but - no he did not remind me of Harrison Ford at all.

Here is the video of SE:GE updates from Star Wars: Galactic Nights tonight:

Primarily talking about DHS...

Major take away, Battle Escape IS going to be primarily physical sets. So the rumors of it being screens everywhere is looking overblown.

On the video of the panel discussion when they talked about the Rebel Transport Ship, they mentioned that you would be able to go on the ship and that it would take you on an adventure. Is this part of one of the two main attractions or is it an additional mini attraction? The image looked like it was outside, not like it was part of of one of the other two main attractions.

My understanding is that is the entrance queue for Battle Escape. Some others can correct me if I’m wrong. I’ll have to find the image of it.

Thanks, I just saw that also one of the other threads, that it is part of the pre-show for Battle Escape.

I can't find the original one that I think Marni did but here is one from a youtube channel (he gets a lot of stuff from here) that used the same image I believe -

Tbh I never thought of them as trees. This one of the rare times where I appreciate the backstory for the land including the ancient petrified trees.
The battle escape one that's hollowed out and held together by those steal beams on the inside. and the way that the stone is cut and being painted isn't like rocks, its the texture of bark.

I tried watching the video footage from the Galactic Nights Panel event, but almost fell asleep about 3 minutes in and turned it off. If you're like me and too lazy to sit through 30 minutes of a Star Wars geekfest but want to know the highlights revealed during the session, here you go:

7 Things We Learned About Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge From The Galactic Nights Panel

Could of totally used this link last night.

Sorry I forgot to tell SlashFilms how lazy we parks fans are and needed the rundown last night. I failed...

Hahah no no. You did not fail as you provided us the link. But it was a snooze fest of 33 minutes with a lot of filler words and stuff we already know for about 3 or so juicy factoids, with some pretty terrible audio to boot. Also, how many times did they have to mention how excited they are and what they re doing for the fans?

Yeah the audio wasn't that good, which is weird since ITM usually does a pretty good job at recording these events. I probably could have found a better version, but it was the first one I found from a reliable source.

The galactic nights parks panel gets worse each consecutive year. Last year they just revealed that they'd build life size space ships with real metal. The year before was the most meaty of them all. Coincidentally, I reshared that here a few days ago. After that, as a galaxy's edge fan you can fast forward to d23's model and Jim hill and Len testa's conversation a few weeks ago about the scheduling algorithm for star wars hotel. Had no idea that galactic nights was this past weekend. Was definitely a fan of the new concept art we saw this weekend though.

So Black Spire Outpost in Batuu at Star Wars Galaxies Edge at Disneyland inside the Disneyland resort in Anaheim in the great state of California in the good ol US of A in North America on Earth in the Milky Way galaxy of the Universe. Got it.

Sorry, that ^^^ was obnoxious.

You left out Sol Three (aka third rock from the sun).

Thank you! 😀One thing cracked me up: How the full-scale AT-Ats are referred to as "replicas." Replicas of what? The little stop motion puppets in Empire? CGI models in a computer?

I’m sorry but they re A-TEE A-TEES! I don’t care if George Lucas himself says otherwise. Hearing AT-AT is so bothersome.
