Universal knows the criticisms and they’ll be moving away from it starting with the new Harry Potter coaster.

That’s good to hear. I think Super Nintendo World, including the Mario Kart and Donkey Kong rides will go a long way on changing my perception of USH. Not to mention Diagonal Alley. I know their screens in Gringotts too but I feel like I would enjoy that attraction. Anyway if they can add 3-4 quality attractions that aren’t so screen focused it would change how I feel about the park.

You re right. It doesn’t have that WOW factor And yet of all the lands mentioned (I won’t comment on Pandora as I’ve never been), NOS is the only one that I personally enjoy hanging out in. Is it the food, attractions, location? Maybe all of the above. It doesn’t have that grand reveal or WOW moment but it’s withstood the test of time and is great on many levels. It feels lived in and has so much depth. The experience is so layered. In that regard, NOS still hasn’t been topped.
Yup. It's the only place in disneyland that I hang out in for hours on end.

Potter couldn't even get me to use my annual pass for USH, and I live 15 minutes away. Transformers, Jurassic, Potter are good but the rest of it is so redundant. I thiink I can picture myself popping in there alone after work quite often if diagon alley and Nintendo especially are a success.

Hahah same here. I went twice in one year. I also live 15 minutes away. My top 3 are Jurassic Park, Mummy, and Potter. Not a huge fan of Transformers. The Tram Tour is classic USH but you can’t do that every time.

I'm maybe 20 minutes away and have used my pass once since Christmas. I really can't foresee using it again any time soon. Good thing I didn't pay for it myself!

Does that mean they’ll be using actual sets for show scenes or does that mean there won’t be show scenes at all?

Have there been any actual confirmed bits of information on this thing other than the vague concept art?? I'm confused as to how people seem to know for certain what this is going to be. I haven't really seen much out there, but I admittedly haven't really looked that hard either.

The only ride cut from other Hogsmeades was Dragon Challenge simply because it was a retheme of an already existing ride in Florida that I’m sure the other parks didn’t really want to waste that kind of huge amount of space on. I’ll ask if the different Nintendo rides are still the plan and when it comes to Toy Story, really? You think people would care about that like they do with Star Wars? Lol.

It's a ridiculous limitation to expect them to follow. Since when does it matter what's at the other resorts? There aren't identical lands in any Disney theme parks or any parks I know, and for good reason. It provides more variety and flexibility in adapting to the park. Galaxy's Edge could be vastly different at WDSP and it shouldn't matter, that's their Galaxy's Edge, just like they have a different Marvel land, Frozen land, Adventureland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, etc. Will people put up a poo poo fight when Iron Man's flying around Hong Kong and Paris at the same time? If anyone who holds such an elitist view towards Star Wars decides to boycott the company for operating as usual, that's their loss.

There's no business sense in catering to such a minority.

I read today that Japan has gone vertical with their SNW. Obviously, they will be the first park to get the land. Do you know what's going on with Hollywood/Orlando?

Also, is it confirmed that Hollywood is not getting Donkey Kong?

I believe that's just a support structure so far. But site prep is starting to come along finally!

Happy Anniversary! It really feels like we're really nearing the home stretch.

I hope that it's in the plan. It sounds like The Mummy is going to be replaced in favor of Nintendo; it would be a shame to have the hippogriff coaster be the only one at Universal.

Have we talked about the fact that in the Hawaiian language the word Batuu is slang for crystal methamphetamine? It's apparently even pronounced the same in Hawaiian as the way it's being pronounced in public by Disney execs like Bob Chapek.

So apparently the WDI legal team didn't do a very thorough job on researching if Batuu had any other meanings in other languages besides English. The kids in Hawaii, according to Urban Dictionary, use the word Batuu interchangably with the words "Rock" or "Stone" or "Meth".

I'm thinking they should just stick with calling it Galaxy's Edge instead of Batuu. Although I will just keep calling it Star Wars Land, which is probably the name they should have stuck with.
