SPOILER BELOW:

The overall tone was darker than any previous Star Wars movie. That last Vader scene and the fact that ALL the good guys ***.

Basically trying to say, they didn't Disneyfy it. If anything, they went in the complete opposite direction.
For all the people saying they were doing the re-shoots to make it more family friendly...if this is where they landed, I'd love to see what they cut that was even darker.

What about Anna & Elsa's, Tarzan's, Cinderalla's and Snow White's parents? All DOA.

Good examples. But what about Bambi, Pinocchio, Belle, Jasmine, Ariel, Quasimodo& Pocahontas. Also, Snow White and Cinderellas mothers died first. That has to count for something. Haha

There are rumors online (so, grain of salt) that originally when Vader came on to Leia's ship, he sliced and diced his way through the rebel troops in a pretty violent way, but Disney suits felt it was too violent and had it re-done. I hope the story is true and that scene becomes a bonus feature.
The director also said that the ending was different because he thought Disney would not have let him do what he did but that he was surprised when Disney said go for it

Boy, I hope the railroad is back up before I go in June.

According to David Koenig in this mornings Micechat update the trains won`t be running until August 2017 :

Trains Running Late
Sources in the Roundhouse say the steam trains will not be running until August 2017. Team Disney Anaheim had hoped to have the locomotives back on track before the summer started. However, they’ve encountered unspecified problems with the set up of the new track and the ride control system.

The original script was probably grittier and more impassioned. It feels like they pulled back on the characters and played moments less dramatically than it could have been. It makes sense, as it makes us invest less in the characters and not bond as deeply with them. If we like the characters but not love them, we won't mind the ending. It wasn't a bad film, but the first 2/3 of the film were pretty bland.
