Especially with Rogue One. That was more Un-Disney than anything Lucasfilm put out before the acquisition.

What's also interesting is that, after seeing Rogue One, it seems like that movie more than any other is having a pretty significant influence on the overall design/environment of Star Wars Land. Went back and looked at all the concept art after seeing the movie today and it's all very reminiscent of the locations they visit in the film. (Which were all very cool I thought!!!)

Hmmm Does it really ? If so, that's cool. I have to go back and look at the concept art. I remember it kind of looking Takodana-ish to me. Not sure why, mostly just the colors.

SPOILER BELOW:
The overall tone was darker than any previous Star Wars movie. That last Vader scene and the fact that ALL the good guys ***.
Basically trying to say, they didn't Disneyfy it. If anything, they went in the complete opposite direction.

I'm not sure if you're joking about, but one can certainly wish SW was going somewhere else, yet be fascinated by the creation process. It's not being Wishie Washie, it's acknowledging good work in a locale you don't agree with.

True, but originally some fans were outraged that the ROA was being rerouted and that Big Thunder Ranch was being removed. Now everyone seems to be marveling at the work being done in those areas. *shrugs*

That's not surprising. Its a classic case of show vs tell. Telling people you're gonna alter their beloved river and Thunder Ranch cranks up their outrage-o-meter. But show them what you're actually doing, and the quality you're infusing into the project, and they'll generally change their tune.
