For anyone who was starting to worry about the Falcon being mediocre, here's Justin Scarred's enthusiastic review. Granted, Justin is enthusiastic all the time anyway, but you can really tell from his video that the ride is a fun one.

(This has the very best footage of what the inside of the cockpit really looks like, by the way)

It is good footage of the cockpit but he is really really playing to the crowd so to speak. he may enjoy the ride but he is in full "omg omg" character mode like he usually does. the footage is good but doesn't change how I feel about the ride.

Introducing the Black Kyber Crystal and Sith Holocron!!! Galaxies Edge is my new home and what luck!
#GalaxiesEdge #KyberCrystal #Disneyland #Lightsaber #Sith #BlackKyberCrystal #SithHolocron #Holocron #StarWars #DokOndors
can you clarify for me what is a holocron? I have no idea what it is or is supposed to do?

The thing I liked about his video is he said that he hates the new films, and was worried he’d hate the new land... but said if you hate the newer films, but love OG Star Wars, the land is still amazing and perfect.

I just watched the Justin Scarred video with my hyperactive ADHD 11 year old, and he was too much for him to take. Hahaha

Couple of comments from my genius:

“When we go here, I’m going to be excited but not THAT excited.”

“I wish they had based this place on the original movies instead of the new ones.”

“I hope we don’t get stuck pushing a couple buttons in the back when we ride.”

But overall, the video actually did make me a bit less jaded about the whole thing. A BIT. I mean regardless of what I think of the place objectively, in reality, it’ll be fun to experience with my family, at least initially. Not sure how repeatable it’ll be.

@Ismael Flores ’s review made me a bit less jaded. Ya, i think they could have did a better job with a few things but I think it’ll be a fun-ish experience. No matter what, I won’t be going in with high expectations so it probably means I’ll have a good time. I agree though, not sure how repeatable it would be, if I’ll ever wait more than an hour for this attraction or prioritize a fast pass for it.

Good approach. I think you'll be surprised. Very surprised. Just sayin'....

Watching the JustinScarred video. He's a bit much, but the enthusiasm is infectious. Black Spire Outpost looks great, but I really love how green the west side of the land is. The walk from Critter Country looks like it is going to be amazing.

Ridiculous that using the Disneyland shopping bag in a store inside Disneyland could be considered "breaking theme"

Well, when New Orleans Square opened in 1968 (and into the '70s) the shops had distinctive gold bags with black printing. It underscored the "boutique" nature of the shops. Walt wanted to set a specific tone to the surroundings. I believe NOS represented one of the first major steps up in theming for Disneyland (and the industry) along with the 1967 New Tomorrrowland (which was John Hench and WED's brilliant rehash of the 1964 New York World's Fair).

I think using standard DLR bags is a glaring mistake and a cheap copout. Are there any other generically branded consumables--cups, paper plates, napkins, popcorn cartons? No. And merchandise bags are a lot more pervasive. I think this is an unforced error (to use a baseball term).

Did Smuggler’s Run twice. It’s great, super fun. Loved bonding with the other group of 3 strangers during both rides. Its really not “about” the score or doing well, it’s just about trying (and frequently failing) to work together as a group. And that’s so fun! The second time we rode both parties were several Cantina drinks in and I as a pilot kept accidentally crashing and it was a blast. Everyone was yelling and cheering. So yeah, put that 6 year old in the pilot seat. See what happens!

I mean how often does a ride make everyone yell and cheer? If you want a ride that’s just a passive experience that’s literally every other ride at Disneyland (outside of maybe the Canoes) and you’ll likely get that with Rise of the Resistance. I feel like most people are going to really dig this though.

That is so funny, it never occurred to me with the Cantina literally across the way people may end up flying the Millenium Falcon drunk lol. It looks like Hondo may needt to issue breathalyzer tests before handing people the keys to the team.

But I like your point, I think people need to see it just as a group enjoying themselves and not how 'great' they pulled off the mission. Of course people will treat it like a game and a challenge but it sounds like a ride you can enjoy if everyone around you is just having a good time and not taking it too seriously.

My understanding is that the bright generic bags are used because they stand out more when guests leave and take their purchases home.

Some of the bags are sturdy enough that people will save and reuse them for months afterward.
