Wow, selling more baby Yoda than anything from Rise of Skywalker. Just heard Emperor Palpatine is a clone. Rey's father is also a Palpatine clone. Why did no Jedi sense Rey's dark family tree? I'm pretty sure they are making things up as they go along.

The Child plush design is interesting. It isn't designed to look GE "authentic" like the plushies over in the Toydarian Toymaker. The arrival of this plush, plus the shoulder Porgs which they've been selling in the land for a while now lead me to believe we're taking our first steps into the dismantling of the lands "rules". Granted, GE is post-Mandalorian so while a plush of that species is technically possible (same as us buying a plush giraffe, elephant, etc.), I think we are going to start seeing more generic merchandise like this slowly phase out the more unique offerings in the land.

Which means.. it's time for me to snag that Toydarian Toymaker Ahsoka plush I've been thinking about before she's replaced with the same kind of Hasbro Ahsoka Black Series figures that can pop up at my local Target or Wal-Mart! I adore the plushie style. Come to think of it.. there are probably a few things I should grab before they're all gone, I was already too late to grab a Krykna Spider from the Creature Stall before it was apparently phased out because of easy breakage..

They made up that anybody cares about Rey and "her journey" in the first place and that the people who portrayed Rose Tito and Finn are "actors".

Rey has a "journey"??? It's at that point that my eyes always glaze over and I stop caring.

The Imagineers need to stop getting drunk with the hot-nerd girls (or boys) from LucasFilm and just try and build good theme park rides. Literally 98% of Americans don't care about this stuff, no matter where Rey's "journey" takes her.

And yes, the 98% statistic is accurate. It's also going to be a question on the 2020 Census ("Do you or anyone in your household care about Rey's journey?") and that number could go higher, but for now it's 98%.

Let me be clear, first and foremost. I'm not advocating abusing the system to skip lines, but can someone verify if what my wife and I experienced is standard practice? Because if so, it would seem to be an easily exploited backdoor on Smuggler's Run.

So, here's the situation. I asked one of the cast members outside of Smuggler's Run where Fast Passes were distributed, since he appeared to be standing next to the usual scanners. He informed me that this was actually for ride share, since the ride apparently doesn't yet offer Fast Passes. So, since my wife and I are visiting with our 17 month old, we had our tickets scanned for rider share, and the cast member directed me to an entrance that allowed me to walk directly on to the ride with almost no wait (the current stand by wait time was 1 hour). After I was finished, my wife had her ticket scanned and also walked right on. The two of us were both finished within maybe 30 minutes total.

So, is that the way ride share is supposed to work? I'm not complaining at all, but it seems that just about any group of two could claim to need ride share and just walk on as easily as we did.

Typically, they check in at the front for child swap. The group waits the entire queue length and then one person rides while the other waits for him to return then swap. However I've seen it setup where the child swap goes through the disabled or fastpass queue instead. Space Mountain used to work on the disabled queue by the exit.

It does seem like the time has come. Pardon me, as I'm sure the question I'm asking is redundant, but I'm curious how 'Rise of the Resistance' operates if the shuttle turntable isn't working.

I wonder if they are using this time to get the ride more reliable.

Well it sounds like practically everything in the resort that isn't an office job that can be done remotely is on hold so personally I don't think so. I know construction projects are different from working on ride operations but my friend works at Disneyland full time and is friends with a lot of people who also work there across many different positions and every single person is off work. I thought I heard from some people that employees were scheduled but not expected to come in but were technically on call during their scheduled times and could be asked to come in, but my friend just got back home yesterday (as in here where I live, about 6-7 hours from Anaheim) because she isn't scheduled and her parents wanted her home that way if she gets sick they could help take care of her. She is self quarantining since she came from Anaheim and was surrounded by different people, just in case she was a carrier or something, so I guess that means she was given the idea that she will be able to be home for a decent period of time right now and not worry about having to go back soon for the parks to reopen or even begin the process of preparing to reopen.
