It would have been better if the FOP ride vehicles actually looked like a banshee instead of a half a Tron bike. There is a video and/or concept art around here somewhere that shows they were planning a real looking banshee instead. It would have been "asleep" until the "neral-link" was established.

But we humans were never mounting a banshee. Banshees as big as elephants.

We're mounting a neural interface. Jake got to lie down, it was his avatar that rode the banshee. We get to lean forward.

Then that is not a soft opening. That is the cast member preview. a soft opening is you just walk up and they let you on if the ride is open as they test it for a few hours. it could close down anytime.

On the WDW forums, it’s been reported that two storm troopers have appeared occasionally in the hanger. Hope it sticks, and we get it in Disneyland.

When I was there in November there was a Hawaiian Elvis figuring on the tip of Lilo & Stitch's surfboard on Small World.

They had some like that in the star destoryer in florida from time to time according to one of the florida park threads.

This is in DHS, but at 4:13 -- it really does add to the feel and experience when you step off the transport ship. The phrases they say actually work really well..."you, move along!", as you stop and take pictures of the hanger.

I imagine the stormtroopers go inside the Star Destroyer when it’s raining outside in Florida. It doesn’t rain as much here.

Spoke to Disneyland Guest Services on the phone and they said security will be opening at 6:30 on Friday, though I highly doubt that. Must be giving out the standard answer to prevent people from arriving early. Anyone else got any info?
