Exactly. Do all the things they said they were going to do back at the 2015 D23 Expo and the various fan conventions in 2016 and 2017 before all those things got mysteriously cut and went silent.

That said, R2D2 out there roaming around is a great first step! Keep taking those baby steps Mr. Chapek and you just might become a showman by 2030!

I mean, the droids on the soda carts move and chat which helps now also.

this is just awful, it hurts my eyes to look at it. i can not fathom how anyone thought this was a good idea. why use the name of this attraction when smugglers run is just listed as “spaceport”? if they’re worried about the initial rush could they not have just installed temporary signage?

After riding rise twice in Florida, it will be interesting how this plays out in Cali. The ride relies so heavily on cm’s acting out the parts I have my doubts the lackluster California cast I saw during this summer can pull it off. We shall see.
I too have noticed this. Especially with Tower & Haunted Mansion. But Guardians gave me back hope, both of my rides featured funny cast members that were playing a role.

Now they need about six more droids of different types roaming around and about ten bounty hunters/aliens.

Exactly and wake up entertainment so that they can adapt the mini stunt shows they do for the press an actually show them to paying customers.

The flying piece of junk is now a popcorn bucket.

2020 is off to a great start!

so has anyone heard reports of how the castmemebr previews have been going? Has WDI and team Anaheim been able to keep the attraction running consistently after learning from the issues at WDW?

Currently here now and everything seems to be running smoothly.

As a side note, I made it to SW:GE for the first time. It’s aesthetically pleasing to the eye, but other than that, surprise, surprise, I’m not impressed.

*sigh*

Yeah, it really doesn’t have the wow factor. I would have bet $1,000 that I would like Star Wars land better than avatar land.... would be easy money to any Marty Mcflys out there!

Rise is better than FOP though, I’ll give them that.

Avatar is the better land but Rise is definitely a cooler ride overall than FOP, but FOP's tech and line are better than the Falcon. The Avatar boat ride has got them all beat, however.

The only thing I’ll give the falcon is it feels like you are the only crew stepping into the cockpit. It feels like the real thing. On FOP the explanation on being “connected” to a banshee is just weird.

But yeah FOP is a much better ride experiencd than falcon. I mean mission space is better than the falcon!

It would have been better if the FOP ride vehicles actually looked like a banshee instead of a half a Tron bike. There is a video and/or concept art around here somewhere that shows they were planning a real looking banshee instead. It would have been "asleep" until the "neral-link" was established.
