If you are getting a reservation a month in advance to visit a bar, you should probably rethink your life.

Can anyone tell me if this thread is spoiler free or not in regards to Rise of the Resistance? Thank you.

A thread with "reviews" is by definition full of spoilers unless specifically told there won't be spoilers.

So, yes. Spoilers. Avert thine eyes.

Interesting comment yesterday from Scott Trowbridge about the state of Disneyland's Rise of the Resistance ride: "California is pretty much in the same place that Florida is right now. So we're just testing and adjusting."

Well, at least Disney has a place to bring all their bigwigs and big bucks people to so that they don't disrupt DHS's RotR...

It's actually pretty insulting - the most prevalent criticism of SWGE is that it is an abandoned, lifeless movie set. So how to they fix that? Wandering aliens, droids, bounty hunters, Jedi? Nope, a tricked out ODV cart. See, we ARE investing in what we care about!

I like the cart, don’t get me wrong, but wow, simply, wow.

I don't know about elsewhere, but in SoCal I'm getting bombarded with this video ad for Galaxy's Edge:

So much for not needing to advertise the expansion.

My wife doesn't follow Disney, and her reaction was this ad made her less interested in going. "It all looks so dark and depressing. It doesn't fit with Disneyland." To hear this from someone who hasn't been following this thread, makes me think some of the fan criticism might hold long term. Rise of the Resistance will help, but it can't fix the fundamental design.

One last question about my first visit to Galaxy's Edge. Which of the three entrances will make the best first impression?

i think this one is probably a matter of opinion as there is not one WOW factor entrance like the Cannery Row entrance at Cars Land. But if I had to pick I’d go with either the Fantasyland or Frontierland entrances.

I have to disagree. Critter Country is the dramatic long entrance and the other ones you just walk right into the land.

Dramatic? It’s the new Big Thunder Trail the remix with an X Wing behind a fence. You can’t even really appreciate the rock work from that side can you?
