I musta missed the "hey, it was just a test anyway" post from Disney.

Got a citation?
I thought I heard Josh say it, but as a citation do we trust Google AI?

They finally took care of the Galactic Starcruiser road signs…by covering them with blue vinyl tape.

Off-centered, clashing hue blue.

SWGS was clearly the Christmas gag gift that keeps on giving.

They really should have been pink, to match the slips that Damaro would have received if TWDC was managed like a normal company.

An off-center incorrectly hued piece of tape is a fitting tribute to the Galactic Failcruiser.

While I know the Disney finance folks with their spreadsheets convinced Disney to shut down the Starcruiser, I wish they didn’t give up so quick and did some more testing.

The Disney finance folks who shut down the Starcruiser should get transferred to Disney’s movie business to clamp down on the money they spend making movies so they at least break even at the box office then the movies can make some money with streaming and physical media.

Like WDI offices!! Wheee!!
Very clever of those Imagineers, eh?

Get WDW to build an expensive "LARP Hotel" project they KNEW would fail, just so they'd have a building already partitioned off for use as an office building, complete with gym space, lunch room, and play places to stimulate their creativity...

Gotta hand it to 'em!

Fun to see this thread pop up again , as I was just rewatching this entertaining 4 hour video commentary about the Galactic Starcruiser.

This video was shared much earlier in this thread back when it was first uploaded, and was discussed here at the time.
It really is worth a rewatch though, especially now that we know what is to become of the space.

Some very spot on observations and commentary…not to mention a fresh take with some honest opinions and not the typical ‘paid off by Disney vlogger / influencer’ non-opinion.

View starting at the 3:48:15 mark and after as it has the real commentary I think a lot of us can agree with.

Enjoy…..
…………………again…..!

The wierd part about these signs is... this is the updated design they just rolled out. So it's really odd they can't match the design they just did in the last few years when blocking out? Perplexing...

The signs at the Osceola Parkway and World Drive interchange are maintained by CFTOD.

I believe CFTOD is increasing their signage replacement budget to $2 million next fiscal year.

And the responsibility hasn't change - meaning if CFTOD updated them last time, with a new design, why is it so difficult to match the design now? These aren't the old purple signs - these are the modern style. Work done recently knowing they have to update from time to time. So now they finally get around to updating this sign, and even after a year they can't match the sign? For upkeep that is expected? That's why it's all so head scratching..
