Changing occupancy isn’t really something you’re going to do on a temporary basis. When people talk about things being grandfathered that’s the way to wipe that out.I'd imagine this is temporary until they can prioritize bringing this back up, and all that depreciation stuff too.
I don’t really see a problem. It wasn’t ideally positioned to be incorporated into the park in any way, and hopefully it frees up some of the office space elsewhere that needs to be demolished at the same park. Biggest concern is for the Imagineers working inside a windowless prison frigate.
A windowless, soulless monument to hubris.
Yet another missed opportunity here…
They shoulda’ turned this windowless monolith into a maximum security prison for Disney Villains…can you imagine how much fun Guests could have had having “visitation” with their faves…!!!!!
The building isn’t windowless. Every guest room had a window. They were just obscured from the inside. How ironic that the Lake Nona project would have been cheaper, state of the art, and built to accommodate thousands of employees. Instead they are now stuck using a windowless hotel as office space. Hindsight is 20/20.
