News Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser coming to Walt Disney World 2021

But the argument was that they wouldn't criticise anything to do with Disney and the Starcruise and I showed they would. I don't get why you're using the fact he liked 'The Rise of Skywalker' as proof that he'd lie about the Starcruise, maybe he liked the movie?
…it was horrific…it’s frankly impossible to take anyone seriously after that. Some bridges collapse after you cross them.

That’s about the 1,000 time somebody has (mistakenly) said that Disney is looking to shrink their customers…

…I guess no one has ever been to Wall Street?🤔
Not shrink so much as just prune the few who aren't willing to pay $$$$ for the current offering. It certainly seems the (vast?) majority of guests are comfortable paying $$$.

Lose, pick a number 5%, guests in exchange for charging the other 95% a lot more. Ticket prices are up, way up if you otherwise would have an AP. Restaurant prices are up, even more if you gamed dining plan, hotel rates are up with fewer discounts.

They're annual pass holders who can easily afford to pay for any event Disney offer them. As far as I'm aware no paying guest has been stopped from going to Disney because they said they didn't like something? I doubt Steve who runs this site has been warned not to let people make negative threads or else we won't let you in the parks?
It's not about paying your own money and going to the parks/events. It's about getting special access to previews, behind-the-scenes, imagineering and executive access. You can sense that kind of stuff being fed to vloggers. Not saying I'm savvy enough to spot it all. But, the sum of the watching indicates they know more than morons like me. And, they're invested in this thing sounding as positive as possible. Wish I could put my finger on it.

In essence Disney just has to make them feel “special” or elite, and for most, that’s what they want above everything else. FOMO would cause most of these people to have a complete breakdown.

Oh you mean in the dark by turning the lights out?! Because that is what it is. And why do they turn the lights off and have a red alert going on in the first place?! That is a Star Trek thing NEVER a Star Wars thing. HAVE YOU SEEN STAR WARS, DISNEY???!
I wonder if Disney will patent the "triple alert alert" as "red alert" and "double red alert" are coined to star trek XD

It’s a public stock…the goal is to charge 105% 110% more

And tomorrow the sun will rise in the East.

The whole “they want to reduce attendance” is a praetorian myth that we tell ourselves…
Since we know we’ll pay whatever they ask…it’s the “hope” at the end of the road that a few less people are the nominal payback for paying that ransom.

Just got done seeing Peter and Kitra's video. Honestly don't know what to think of it. I know they're Star Wars fan couple and we heard both positive and negative about Disney's treatment of Batuu. But, it was mostly positive. But, they're practically gushing over this experience. I smell something fishy in their overview. Yet, they say they're plunking down $4K for this experience. Am I a conspiracy theorist thinking Disney either paid for the video below or there was some financial quid pro quo going on here?

I guess I'll watch their content and judge by it. Certain other bloggers that are known to be putting their own money down -- that Disney shows their open distain for -- will be there as well. Maybe between them all, we'll get some balanced opinions. Still not quite sure if we will...

Disney already seems to have paid.
Other youtubers have mentioned to have received an invite.
I think JoJo and Kyle (very popular tubers of Disney) are going on first voyage.
No surprise if others got a free run.

It is abundantly clear that literally zero people involved with this grew up as Star Wars fans. Stop trying to make the new trilogy a thing, it was trash and everyone knows it. No one cares about Rey or Kylo or the Resistance.
Ironic that the most fresh thing thing that came from the trilogy was relegated by Disney.
The bromance between Fin and Poe was thrown down to the gutter.

Kinda reminds me of the infamous cartoons that were trashed because they were not hitting what the merchandise interests studies wanted. Example, some cartoons were insanely popular with girls, who were buying the merch. But the execs of Cartoon Network found this bad and cancelled the show despite the very popular. (to cclarify, the show was intended for males, thus girls buying the merchandise was "out" from their "analysis")
CN popularity going to the gutter made them revive the show 3 or more years later.. too little too late.

So in the case of Fin and Poe. Makes me wonder if some ahole Disney exec went like this:
Intern: "Fin and Poe are very popular, they are selling more than Rey!"
Disney exec: "Wait, thats illegal! Rey should be selling more!
Disney Exec: "quick, make reshots of the next movies and put Fin and Poe in the back burner"
Disney Exec: " I'm a genious!"

It does say in the top left, close to the beginning "includes paid promotion". I don't believe that any of these top vloggers aren't getting some sort of incentive for doing this. And just by the reaction they had to some fairly lame activities, they are getting something. Or they're just really fishing for some other invite.

I guess the better way to say it is this. They aren't trying to get less customers, but they don't care if they lose customers. Because there is a segment of customers that they don't want as a demographic. They would gladly welcome a 100% increase in attendance all paying insane prices.

I think the goal is to charge more then an extra 10%

Want to reduce attendance. No. Willing to accept the loss of a few "cheapskates" who aren't willing to pay $$$. Yes. Pruning. Get rid of the dead wood.

Read an article on credit card companies a while ago. People, like me, that pay their bill in full each month are known as deadbeats. I guess I need to add cheapskate to my list of nicknames!

That's exactly what happened.
It took away from the demographic Disney was aiming for.
