What makes you think those things are not also happening at the same time?
Bloggers would have covered it by now. No one should be walking around with nothing to do.

Do you think those are popular? Should the Starcruiser experience compared to those?Carnival games at boardwalk, Dinoland USA and The DVC.
Perhaps…Isn’t this true of everything in WDW?
You’re sure there isn’t a storyline where the First Order “wins?”

So far, the videos I’ve seen show vloggers shooting video of what’s in front of them.Bloggers would have covered it by now. No one should be walking around with nothing to do.
Obviously you haven’t played the arcade games at the Boardwalk in a while. (KIDDING)Cost:benefit ratio is a bit off
It just turns the whole thing into the queue instead of the main attraction. I’m 100% fine with playing silly games with no stakes while waiting in line for Space Mountain or Soarin’, but I’m not waiting in line or spending money to play those games - there’s a main attraction at the end.Isn’t this true of everything in WDW?

…now you see what makes The world turn, eh?So character dining can not return yet, to pre pandemic norms... You can't hug mickey
But it's okay to eat and interact on a star ship since your paying 5k and Gya can come sing at your table and you can hug her or the ship cap.
Sigh.
Absolutely it is. I would have wanted a far more mature type of stay myself. I'll wait and see if anything evolves or if they improve upon the theme and make it more what we think when we hear SW or not. For now I'm very sure it's just not for us. Now if they offered this as a day experience for $1k a pop we would actually consider more. Just 2 days of this is too much for me at where it is.Thanks! I do think a lot of the Starcruiser “experience” requires people (grownups) to overlook some cheesiness and simplicity and just sort of play pretend.
But I think the fact that the surroundings support the theme and run 24/7 can really help people get into it (vs. being in an actual high school gym and saying, “Ok, now let’s all pretend this half of the court is a force field”).
It’s not for everyone. But the people it’s for have been wanting something like this.
I imagine some of those are just things CMs pull out whenever they see any guests with nothing to do. There were rumors of arts and crafts projects, too.
Any recommendations? Those things you bring up are not mutually exclusive. No one is saying it is awful. Sirwalterraleigh was speaking in terms of their own former standards.
sex on film is more popular/seen than ever; it does not mean its production values are better.
I've seen a few videos where this happens2 thousand dollars a person for two nights where half the time is eating, after hours sleeping and hoping you transport to and from the park. This bold statement would not bode well. There are superior ways to interact and entertain with guests roaming. We should have performers roaming sets where they are walking around with intergalactic creatures or things of interest. Someone hiding their exotic pet on board.
Any recommendations?

He’s just another guy (JAG in some areas) that jumps on threads and tries to be clever…then quickly turns it to personal attacks when the “I’m a capitalist…Disney is great!” Schtick fails…Those things you bring up are not mutually exclusive. @monothingie can help you with a “special” site for thatAny recommendations?
I think those scheduled activities were for the in-story cruise itinerary. More like an ostensible reason to get ”passengers” to the right places on the ship so they can observe different scenes of the story unfolding.I don't think it's this -- mainly because everyone has an itinerary before they go, and all of these activities are scheduled in advance.
People are scheduled for dance lessons from 3-3:30, and for model building from 4:15-4:45, etc.; they're all part of the regular experience. This is why I suggested somewhere above that it might work better as a one day event where they don't have to throw in all these random filler activities and could focus almost exclusively on the story/theater aspect.
Gaya can have a payoff concept with the Dance Lesson, or more Alien characters teach or join you to share their culture.
Apparently Gaya does, but it's not in the same time, but later during one of the concerts.
It's just the setup that feels out of place....reminds me of the super cheap animation class they did at Animal Kingdom a couple of years ago with about $15 worth of setup
Agree, after watching several videos the point seems to be to get guests to those areas to then select some of them for some secret mission etc. Once you've realised that as a guest, you're probably excited about the next 'weird activity' as you see it as another opportunity to do something different. Instead of dance lessons or space bingo they perhaps could have been more imaginative, however changing this around wouldn't be too much of a struggle.I think those scheduled activities were for the in-story cruise itinerary. So the 3:30PM ”dance lessons” are “real” in that they really happen, but Disney doesn’t put a whole lot of effort into them because they don’t want to compete with the actors acting out story beats all around the atrium during the ”lesson.”
