Yes, but in a can that there’s nowhere to run…so like pool games at Saratoga?
Young families with kids isn’t not the “obvious” Star Wars market.
Lucas had to learn it 20 years ago…now Disney has to repeat the same class
You don’t tell Star Wars fandom “who belongs”

I’ve seen a lot of posts like this. Obviously I could guess, but in your opinion, what about the Starcruiser seems “clearly aimed and young children?”Have no kids yet and watching all the videos you can see that the whole “experience” seems fun but was clearly aimed at young children. My wife and I realized that, although fans of SW, if we went there we would feel like real aliens. It's a kind of mixed feelings of love and hate right now.
The games seem overly simple. This is something that would bore my 14yo in terms of complexity. He actually loves role playing and make believe but even this felt too simplistic to hold his attention. Also honestly the level of acting was meh and that was seen as over the top and kinda cheesy and also predictable. Younger kids don't pick up on that as much and they would be entertained more. They also are less likely to pick up on the theme and how it's space like but not at all SW-esque.I’ve seen a lot of posts like this. A full slate of short activities/diversions meant to be like a cruise line kids club? Perhaps?I’ve seen a lot of posts like this. Obviously I could guess, but in your opinion, what about the Starcruiser seems “clearly aimed and young children?”
absolutely! I mean you can just track the drastic drop in attendance over the past 10 years. It’s amazing that the parks have held on for this long. I mean seriously you must need to have the windows open 24/7 with the amount of that your spewing.I agree with you…but two separate issues.
Park projects/resorts have lost their edge for about 10 years. In reality…only the “meddling” of James Cameron has managed to deliver anything.
Those things you bring up are not mutually exclusive. No one is saying it is awful. Sirwalterraleigh was speaking in terms of their own former standards.absolutely! Well those movies and characters sucked and as predicted have shown ZERO staying power…so a retheme is a given. That being said, Rey and Kylo's saga began and ended and did not even last 4 years in feature film releases. I imagine to keep Starcruiser going we will get the retro prequel storylines in the next years or Mandalorian and baby Yoda popping in with a focus on that interfering with the joyous two-day vacation. Grogu animatronic/puppet will be that secret weapon when things fall short.
Disney has pumped out so much material so fast that it makes sense to aim with the Kylo and Rey story for this, but it is definitely makes sense for mass appeal as many kids are not sitting through a movie that premiered 40 years before they were born. There are some of course, but the original trilogy as many adults knew it is not even close to the majority of the appeal now, hubris or not.
Thanks! I do think a lot of the Starcruiser “experience” requires people (grownups) to overlook some cheesiness and simplicity and just sort of play pretend. The games seem overly simple. I know there are adults who enjoy this too and likely will take offense to above but just saying what I've seen with it an our reactions to videos.

I assume you’re talking about Space Bingo and the hilariously bad dance lesson? Probably also the lightsaber training?A full slate of short activities/diversions meant to be like a cruise line kids club? Perhaps?

Disney won’t want to hear it. They’ve become lazy in the entertainment biz because their park customers accept old stuff over and over again for long periods of time without forcing any reinvestment.
The land already is due an update. What are the odds?
It’s the general approach…I assume you’re talking about Space Bingo and the hilariously bad dance lesson? Probably also the lightsaber training?
I imagine some of those are just things CMs pull out whenever they see any guests with nothing to do. There were rumors of arts and crafts projects, too.
I’d suggest that even adults who take themselves seriously might have fun doing these ridiculous activities that are obviously aimed at kids.
2 thousand dollars a person for two nights where half the time is eating, after hours sleeping and hoping you transport to and from the park. This bold statement would not bode well. There are superior ways to interact and entertain with guests roaming. We should have performers roaming sets where they are walking around with intergalactic creatures or things of interest. Someone hiding their exotic pet on board.I imagine some of those are just things CMs pull out whenever they see any guests with nothing to do.
Isn’t this true of everything in WDW?From what I’ve watched, the main problem that I see is that there are no real stakes.
So, it’s like an arcade, but there’s no chance of losing, which takes all the fun out of it.
You’re sure there isn’t a storyline where the First Order “wins?”Aesthetically, it looks like a well-done escape room, but you don’t actually have to use any brain power. “Push this button. You don’t have to do them all at the same time.” It turns into “If you just sort of think about hitting the right buttons, you’ll succeed.” There’s no way they’re going to run a Star Wars cruise with the dark side winning.
What makes you think those things are not also happening at the same time?2 thousand dollars a person for two nights where half the time is eating, after hours sleeping and hoping you transport to and from the park.
