Not exactly, but the sentiment is there.

Proverbs 17:28 - English Standard Version

28 Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise;
when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.

Yeah…there was also some French Saint that was in the ballpark.

I have little doubt that Lincoln would have drawn upon those types of things…he was very scholarly by all accounts.

If he said it, we don't know since he didn't write it down and none of his contemporaries attribute him saying that. The first time it's written in this form is the beginning of the 20th century.

History leaves a lot of possibilities

except the covid threads on this board…that’s just bat crazy and preserved for posterity 👍🏻
(and hopefully will go dead completely soon🤞🏻)

Technically, it's still the window. Although many cities also require a tall building to have an emergency helicopter pad on the roof. You never saw The Towering Inferno, did you? :D
Secondary egress on high rises are of course impractical…you go out the door or you don’t go out…so sometimes life on earth can’t be completely codified. But I bet the windows are still technically in a lot of codes.

Since this was announced, I have wondered if this is viewed as a temporary, pop-up experience, which will last two or three years, or a hotel with longer-term potential.

Is it awful to think that in just a few years, after it has had its run, that it will be converted to a typical DVC resort without the immersive experience and just Star Wars themed rooms and common areas?

It certainly is awful. It doesn't even have a pool!

With what they spent on the tech, the prisonlike exterior and lack of amenities/support systems I'd say it can't be converted to DVC.
They planned for this to go gangbusters backup would be a cast breakroom/office area. It won't be a hotel of any form

Yet they've hemmed themselves in with the tiny windowless rooms with tiny closets and even tinier bathrooms.

Which is why in that other thread I said this could become a Corporate Retreat Team Building hotel in a few years.

It’s not very good if you’re Disney. The idea that they want this available 60-75 days out is a hard one to defend even for the praetorians.
We haven't the slightest idea how many cabins are available. Bokings of 50% would be real bad. Booking 95% plus would be good. Nothing wrong with having limited inventory available for late bookings. Sell outs too far in advance would reflect a voyage which is underpriced.

It does have backup amenities. It has a separate administration building with office areas and CM break room.
