Legit question…

because if you’re 350 lbs or 66 years old…you wouldn’t pass the physical to be on the “star destroyer” - or whatever the hell it is - anyway. You would also be in a military style uniform that maybe they invested a few Bucks more on?

unless you’re an admiral…then it’s fair game

no wait…is this supposed to be a “transport” that goes on an “unexpected exciting adventure”??

star tours 💲.0??

The costumes actually look a little bit Star Trek 1….which I’m not entirely not digging 😎

I kind of understand the price point to an extent because if theres any fanbase that is willing to spend a stupid amount of money its SW (and Disney) fans. Unless they built All Stars level of capacity itd be quite a popular hotel; to the detriment of most people trying to get in. Supply and demand blahblah.

That being said if the LARP aspect is a massive fail is there a contingency plan in just tweaking this up a bit and just...making it a hotel? Throw in some droids or aliens in the lobby for pics and call it a day? I know SGE was supposed to be SuPeR In ChArActer but the last time I went the two gift shop CMs were discussing football. I mean, the reality is you're unlikely to be able to staff this with a ton of awesome performers 100% of the time. Is the housekeeper Mercedes supposed to engage with me about the famine on Tatooine while asking if I need more toilet paper?

I'm admittedly uninformed on this project other than skimming through these posts but while the hotel itself wont be failure the whole story thing will be a huge learning experience in what works and what cannot be sustainable, right?

I dislike the super baggy/loose fit of those pants, makes the uniform look frumpy and outdated.
1. That’s common with central costuming…for obvious reasons
2. This should be carefully selected workers that fit “parts” and the costumes made custom.

About $1500 a head per day? $1 per minute.

Let’s see it. I hope I’m wrong here

I only skimmed it, but the fire/rehire language was confusing. ”Rehire” made it sound more like legal red tape than a serious staffing setback. More to the point, it sounded like disgruntled CM gossip, so that probably is a sign things are going well.
anyone managed to screenshot it? important people are interested to know XD

How do these compare to the cast member uniforms on actual Disney cruises?

You'd think actual laziness would have them just use something along those lines but this looks like somebody thought this was what a uniform on a spaceship would look like.

And I'll chime in again with the others - This looks more like Fifth Element costuming then anything Star Wars.
Last time I went a decade ago, the fabrics on DCL werent anywhere as thin or plastic like the WDW's ones..
DCL still looked like fabric and real clothes. Not hospital discardable gowns.
