Jeeze...
How many people who book such a trip are going to need to leave and get something out of their car?
Most people are living out of their suitcases and everything they need is with them.
Additionally, how many people would book such a trip but lack the attention span to stick it out for two days?
In any event, guests at the Starcruiser would certainly be able to exit Batu and head into Hollywood Studios, and the rest of the parks after their shuttle lands them at Black Spire should they be so inclined.
Unless it really is a prison planet.

That's all good except.....this is not a real cruise ship.
Muck like a riverboat casino that's "built on stilts over navigable water" isn't really a boat at all. But, it's irrelevant to the customers whose experience is the same as going to a real riverboat. Except for the lack of motion, much like the Starcruiser will not have the same motion as a real cruise ship.

This really isn't that difficult. They aren't going to stop you from leaving. To go to your car, to go to the parks, or if you want to go outside and get some exercise. But they aren't going to help you leave either. No buses, etc.

I’m not having difficulty. I’m not the one who thinks it’s a ship. :)

My guess is that food will be included as part of the price. The next question is, will park admission be included?
I'm guessing your admission into Galaxy's Edge will be included, but it doesn't necessarily have to be a "one day Magic Your Way Hollywood Studios" entitlement. They could simply drop you off inside the park without ever scanning in at a turnstile.

Obviously it's not on the water, it's in SPACE.

They have that huge barrier when you arrive to separate the valet from the launch area, clearly. Gotta think safety after all.

;)

I just find it more comparable to an all inclusive where you’re not forced to stay on site, but why would you leave to eat if your food is included at the resort.

Not really overly worried about what analogy one wants to personally use, though.. I’m just impatiently wanting for more more details such as pricing and what amenities/activities will be there.

Maybe it's a "Guided" tour to Batu instead of a free for all admission, that way they ensure all passengers on the ship are able to experience all of Batu and keep them all contained in the land instead of them discovering Tower of Terror or Toy Story, ruining the story/illusion they're trying to create?

Going to have to tread carefully around the sight lines at the Toy Story exit to GE then...

If it’s a full blown tour, how will this integrate with normal daily park ops? Pretty decent chunk of RotR capacity to eat into... the way things have been going, a couple hundred guaranteed off the top will remove a few boarding groups daily. I was sort of assuming that the GE time would be an ‘exclusive’ hour or two early morning or after close.

The VIP tour can cost up to $750 per hour and does not include tickets. Unless the mission is an after hours thing that includes only a few things everyone does, then I could see that included. But not just getting into the park during normal open hours, no way I see that getting offered for free.
It wouldn’t be free really, just included in the price. If I’m dropping 2 to 3K for a 2 day experience I’m not buying a park hopper ticket and going to Magic Kingdom either day. If the only thing I’d enter the parks for is a Batuu excursion that’s part of the overall program offered I would not expect to have to buy the park ticket. it’s not like you would be spending 12 hours in the park.

I would think they would include admission just to DHS through the “special entrance”, if that’s even a thing anymore, assuming nobody is going to stay in the park all day anyway.

If someone wants to leave the hotel to have dinner somewhere else, I highly doubt they will stop you, but obviously it will be to your advantage to stay.
I agree food is likely included. They are going to want people to stay on site for meals and if they don’t include the food people could be tempted to eat elsewhere. The restaurant won’t be available to non-hotel guests so that would be potentially problematic if a bunch of people left for meals. If they charge you upfront for the food there’s no reason anyone would leave.

That would be in line with what I would expect. Even if it’s not a guided tour at least give you a pass that gets you to the front of the lines for each ride one time plus some sort of “mission” to bring something back that requires you to interact with some local merchants or something. The level of immersion is an individual preference.

Very true, but going onto a riverboat casino doesn't cost $2000 for two days.

Who wants to start a pool to guess the first day that someone pulls the firealarm to ruin the immersion?

Just like how guests regularly pull the fire alarm to ruin the immersiveness of Cars Land, Potterlands, Pandora, Toy Story Land, and Star Wars Land?

Yeah, if they pulled the fire alarm on the SW Resort at the same rate, it would suck!!!!

With about 100 rooms that is going to be what, 300-500 guests in the Starcruiser at any one time. I don't see them staffing all of GE just for that few people for any special access time. While I could see exclusive access in the morning or evening being included in the price, I would think only certain things would be open at those times like the rides and build a light saber or droid. To experience the whole land, you would want to be there during when the park was open. And there would be nothing to stop someone from going to ToT during that time. I don't see Disney giving that access for "free" or included in the price when things like the VIP tours don't include a ticket either. Heck, the "World of Dreams" tour cost $12,000 and still doesn't include a park ticket.

They could have a line charge on the bill for a ticket per person or something though. But, I imagine a lot of people will stay there for 2 days, then transfer to another resort for the rest of their vacation. If you have a 6 day ticket, it would suck to have to pay a full day price for one day when you are going to purchase a cheaper per day ticket for the length of your stay. However they do it remains to be seen, I just do not see HS access during regular park hours being included. As they say "that's not Disney".

The difference is that in the descriptions of those tours its explicitly said that a ticket isn't included. All the marketing thus far for the starcruiser has said that it includes the excursion to Batuu. No note of 'theme park admission required' or anything like that. So I'd say its included in the price, but the question is how exactly it will be handled.
