The nearest thing to official I‘ve heard of is D23 which said $3300 per person.

From the initial surveys they did I think it was $3000 pp for the first two, $2000 for subsequent people in the room.

Its going to be based on 2 nights, dual occupancy. Meaning - its not (to use your numbers) $3000 per person x 2, its $3000 for the first two people, and an additional cost for more guests in each room.

Given the high price for this experience, I wonder if anything besides room, food, entertainment and activities (including an excursion to Batuu), is included. Maybe you get to keep a costume you'll use during your stay, exlusive gifts and souvenirs?

It will be a high place for sure, but I’m not sure if it’s as high as 4,000 as ppl have said in the previous page.

That’s not how cruise pricing works though.

Yes, yes it is. You buy a room on a cruise based on dual occupancy. If you only have one person in the room, it isn't any cheaper. Thats what they're trying to get across - one person or two, you're paying the two person price. Thats what dual occupancy means. This is the same as booking any hotel room, really. They're all based on dual occupancy. Being solo doesn't get you a discount.

Additional guests are extra because of the 'all inclusive' nature.

Its probably going to be something like $2500 total for 2 people for the 2 nights. Additional guests are $500 each.

There's been no indication from any source that cruise pricing would be the de facto model. What's been revealed is a hybrid system of a base price (like cruises) plus additional per person.

Yes, which is what I used as a guide when this was first announced. The question is whether the base price is per person or per couple. I understood it to be per person, plus additional per extra person.

Not always how cruise brochures work.

However, you need to double your prices and then you may get near to the actual price.

$5-6k for 2, additional guests $1k. That’s a minimum IMO.

Show me a cruise brochure where prices FOR A ROOM are per person.

Also show me where anyone (besides you) said this will be $3k per person.

This article is quoting what was announced at D23. It still leaves open the argument over whether $3,300 is per person or per couple.

Back at the beginning of this thread we were all arguing about the same thing.

I’ll come back on the cruise brochure question.

I can't help comparing Starcruiser to a DVC members-only cruise, which is around $4000 for a 4 night Bahamas cruise (2 guests), balcony stateroom. With special activities, presentations, nice gifts delivered to staterooms every day, etc.

Still many details about Starcruiser to be released.

It doesn't leave it open. You just interpreted it wrong. Its $3,300 per room regardless of its 1 or 2 people. And there was no official pricing given at D23. That article is just a guess.

So here is a link to the DCL cruise points chart for DVC members for a cruise to the Bahamas. The points cost quoted in the chart is actually per person, not per room.

And here is the line in the small print that says so.

“Points are per person, based on double occupancy and apply to 1st and 2nd passenger“.

Per person based on double occupancy. Do you understand what that means? Its the number shown x 2 regardless if you have one person or two. This is how the starcruiser is going to work as well. Its going to be X if you have one or two people.
The chart you posted is only needlessly complicated because its DVC.

Go here: https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/...DE;entityType=stateroom-type;destination=dcl/
Click the minus next to 'Adults'.
Read the message that comes up.
Thanks, have a good night.

You're actually making his/her point, not yours.....

The cost when I went on a cruise was advertised per person, but you had to multiply by two because even if you went solo you had to pay for two. You've both said this, you're both correct.

What remains to be seen is if the $3k for the Star Wars hotel is per couple, or per person with double occupancy ( so $6k)

I understand what you're saying, but this is not how dual occupancy works. And this is not how Disney has priced 'all-inclusive' things in the past.

The price shown (on my link) is $1842 for a room. Its 1842 if you have 1 person or 2 people. Same as the starcruiser will be - the same cost for a room with 1 or 2 people in it. They aren't going to offer a separate price for one person. That is how you know that rumored $3,300 number is for 2 people.

In other words:

Price for Cruise room - $1842 - one or two people - same price
Price for Starcruiser - $3300 - one or two people - same price

This is how dual occupancy works.

No I get it. And I hope that's correct. Because they won't be selling many two day star trips at $6k per couple, but $3k is somewhat manageable. Which is the main reason I think you're right. But you're both kinda just saying the same thing but arguing about it.

Is 3K manageable though? I still feel this is pricing too many people out. It’s fine to have a select number of people willing to pay that, but they need to fill this hotel starcruiser.
