Per person based on double occupancy. Do you understand what that means? Its the number shown x 2 regardless if you have one person or two. This is how the starcruiser is going to work as well. Its going to be X if you have one or two people.
The chart you posted is only needlessly complicated because its DVC.

Go here: https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/...DE;entityType=stateroom-type;destination=dcl/
Click the minus next to 'Adults'.
Read the message that comes up.
Thanks, have a good night.

I get two different prices, 1291 for one adult, vs 1404 for two adults.

I’ve read your reply several times.

You said it will be the number shown x 2 whether there is 1 person or 2. But I got two different prices.

And in the DVC chart, if I book myself on a cruise I pay the number of points shown. If I book DH and myself we pay 2 x the number of points shown. Two people is twice the number of points shown.

You asked for a brochure where that pricing applies. I’ve given it to you.

So in answer to your question “Do you understand what that means?”, my answer is “No, I don’t”. Because we have two different examples here, both from Disney.

Therefore I can only conclude that we don’t know what the phrase “rates start at $3,300 per room” means yet. We’ll just have to wait and find out.

Now genuinely, I am off to have my dinner. 🙂

Is 3K manageable though? I still feel this is pricing too many people out. It’s fine to have a select number of people willing to pay that, but they need to fill this hotel starcruiser.

I don't think it's an easy price point for a lot of people, no. But do I think it's a price point people can generally save up for if they really want it? Yes.

It better come with front of the line access to EVERYTHING in Galaxy's Edge though, or that would definitely kill the immersion.

You're actually making his/her point, not yours.....

The cost when I went on a cruise was advertised per person, but you had to multiply by two because even if you went solo you had to pay for two. You've both said this, you're both correct.

What remains to be seen is if the $3k for the Star Wars hotel is per couple, or per person with double occupancy ( so $6k)
I say fine as long as there is a 33% discount for DVC owners with annual passes. $4k is reasonable and very profitable for WDW for those of us who pay thousands in DVC dues every year and a lot for our Platinum Plus Passes. I will signup as soon as they announce the date you can purchase if it is $4k for my wife and I.

Why would DVC or APs expect a price break?

Prices have been discussed before. We have two off site 'insider' information with different prices... so, in reality, we don't know the pricing yet. Check out...

It's somewhat good balance between the individual and the group.

How does a website that specializes in resort accommodations not understand that a 3 day / 2 night stay is not 3 days?
  • Day 1: You check in at 3 PM (giving housekeeping time to prep the rooms), which is half a day.
  • Day 2: You have a full day on day 2.
  • Day 3: you check out at 11 AM (giving housekeeping time to prep the rooms), which is half a day.
So, all totaled, it's 2 days. That's why your resort hotel will frame the number of days you're staying with then as the number of nights and not the number of days.

This is a 2 night stay. So, it's comparable to a 2 night stay in a resort or a 2 night cruise trip.

So, for one person, it's a total of $3,300, which is $1,650 per night.

For five friends sharing a room for 2 nights is a total of $7,200, or $3,600 per night. And when divided by the five buddies, $750 per night.

Indeed, unlike a standard hotel room where after the 2nd person there may be a small surcharge per night, the cost includes all the food and events of the two-day LARP, which is usually charged per head. So, there's a significant extra charge per person, but, the economics of the cost of the sleeping quarters being shared gives somewhat of a break... unless they're free-loading children who aren't paying their share from their own pockets. So, there is a family penalty, but its ameliorated somewhat by the non-linear increase per person due to the room-sharing.

Adults who each pay their own way and share as many as can fit in a room get the biggest break.

If the name of the ship is the same as the Project Codename for the resort, it has been revealed already and is in the rumor tracker. The name of the project is:
Hubble
.

As I mentioned above, it is comparable not to a 3 night stay but a two night, which DCL doesn't do. So, figure 66% of that amount.

===

Now, let's build our own adventure for a 2-night event:
  • Deluxe Resort room: A random day in Feb shows the monorail resort rooms at about $600. So, two nights is $1,200.
  • Signature Meals with characters: Using CRT as a guide, about $60 adults (not counting alcohol purchase). So, four meals is $240
  • After Hours access to SWL: Using the After Hours pricing, let's call it $100, so, $200 for two nights.
  • LARPing at an average 8 hours per day. Using Escape Rooms, Murder Mystery Dinners, and TheVoid as a guide, let's say $50 an hour, or $400 day, or for two days: $800.
  • Light breakfast, drinks, snacks like you find a club level rooms or a cruise ship... let's say $50/day, so, a total of $100.
That comes to: $2,540. About $700 less than the SW Resort for one person. Perhaps I'm low-balling estimates? Perhaps the SW cachet and theming is worth that much more?

Let's do this for a family of five people...
  • Deluxe Resort room: A random day in Feb shows the monorail resort rooms at about $700. So, two nights is $1,400.
  • Signature Meals with characters: Using CRT as a guide, about $60/$50 children (not counting alcohol purchase). So, four meals for five people is $440
  • After Hours access to SWL: Using the After Hours pricing, let's call it $100, so, $200 for two nights. $1,000 for 5 people.
  • LARPing at an average 8 hours per day. Using Escape Rooms, Murder Mystery Dinners, and TheVoid as a guide, let's say $50 an hour, or $2000 day for five, or for two days: $4000.
  • Light breakfast, drinks, snacks like you find a club level rooms or a cruise ship... let's say $50/day, so, a total of $500.
That comes to: $7,340, which is pretty much what the rumored cost for five will be for SWR.

But your discount is built in to what you spent. Remember? APs lower your daily access fee the more you use them (plus the merch and lodging discounts), and your DVC gives you Deluxe-level accommodations at a discounted price over the length of your contract.
Yes, and all I am asking for is a discount on my room and not to be charged again for something I have already paid for, admission to DHS.

So you want to to figure out some formula based on which pass you have and how often that pass gets used, and then give you 1 day of value off the room?

That’s all you’re guaranteed...and that’s the kind of mindset they've moved towards

Why would they do you favors on this?
The answer is only if the demand isn’t there.

Not sure if this has been posted, but here's a high-res image of the shuttle (bus) to Batuu seen in the new video:

I think it would be to hard to prevent this, unless you only get access to the land after hours.
That's what I'm thinking too. Batuu excursion for Starcruiser guests only. For say, a couple of hours after park closing. Access to RotR and MFSR. And given the price of the experience, I'd throw a meal and a drink at Oga's too.
