Maybe when it talked about immersion it was solely talking about what's inside and not it's connection to Galaxies Edge but when they are going to be charging top dollar for this, they can't be doing cutbacks

It's too early to make a judgement call, but the building being just two stories is really surprising. Kind of sounds like they're not going all-in with this, but only going partially as far as they could (or should).

Insiders have intimated that that indeed is what it is. If you insist on leaving mid-way, there won't be bus service.

Perhaps - but even insiders on this forum or other sites do quite literally fall under the category of "fans online". Official Disney PR has (as of yet anyway) has never described it that way.

If indeed the case, what happens if the guest decides they aren't having much fun (I know, blasphemy) and want to do something else? They are stranded?

Someone will insist leaving mid-way, for any number of reasons (even if just because someone tells them they can't), and I'm sure Disney has accounted for such instances.

Your logic is flawed. Disney publically has said effectiviky nothing. So it doesnt eliminate anything really. Not that it excludes certain things.

And people havenore information than they said publicly.

The footprint of the resort is 76,586 square feet (7,115 sq.m.) or 1.76 acres.

That's 76,586 sq ft for the building itself? If so, one could argue that 150-200 rooms would be a reasonable estimate. If it's a two story hotel, than maximum sq footage would be 153,172 sq ft, however, you would need to cut down that number pretty substantially to account for how much of that sq footage would be used up by hallways, dining areas, public restrooms, cast, maintenance, and other backstage areas, shopping, check-ins, laundry, etc. Based on the layout of the resort, it appears that the guest rooms would likely be located in the back portion and that area only seems to take up about 1/2 to 3/5 of the total area of the resort (but even then you need to deduct sq footage for hallways, elevators, and stairwells. I would imagine that a fair estimate is that you would see about 50,546 (1/3 of the possible sq footage) taken up by guest rooms and most average hotel rooms on Disney property are in the ball park of 250 to 300 sq ft. This would yield a total room count of 150-200 rooms. (again, all just a guess) With a capacity of 2-4 per room, that means about 300-800 guests in the hotel at any given time which would seem a really good number to be able to give that intimate experience that they seemed to be describing.

You really wouldn't want to build much bigger for the simple fact that you would lose that "intimate" feel (especially in the common areas) if there were that many more people involved. If you wanted to increase capacity, it would almost be better to just build a second identical hotel (for which there is PLENTY of space to do if they wanted).

By that measure, then anything's possible. You can stay there for three months and a personal clown will give you piggy back rides wherever you want to go.

You can leave by walking out the door and into the DHS parking lot and getting in your car. Or schlepping all the way across the parking lot to a Disney bus or gondola. Or by getting a taxi/lyft/uber/minnievan. If you want to give Disney $2,000 so you can go to parks you didn't plan any FPs or ADRs for, Disney will be happy to keep your money and the other guests will be happy you're gone. Win-win-win.

I think you’re being sarcastic. I was actually wondering what Disney will in fact do in this situation.

I thought someone might have some real insight into the issue. Oh well.

Then why are you asking here? This isn't an official Disney site. No one here can tell you what Disney would definitely do, especially for a project that is still in its planning stages.

If this is a 2 (or 3) day "event", the expectation is that everyone stays for it. They obviously can't lock you in, so, you can leave, but that doesn't mean they have to provide buses every 20 minutes in case a person decides to leave. Cruise lines don't provide ships for you to leave the cruise once underway. If you get off at a port, and chose not to get back on, they can't force you to get back on, but they're not going to provide another mode of transport for you to get back home.

Cause it’s a discussion forum. People ask questions. Other people provide opinions or comments or answers.

And yet, you still tell me your opinion on what they will do. So thank you. I wonder if anyone else has an opinion on what they may or may not do. Hmmm.

What is wrong with you?

So you know this is just discussion.

When someone discusses what is likely to happen, you complain you want official answers, which no one here can give you.

When pointed out to you, you say, "yeah, know it's just discussion, can I have discussion?"

But you dismissed discussion because it wasn't 'official,' and ask for more discussion.

And if someone else gives you an answer you don't like, will you attack that one for not being official?
