I can’t get two seats together!!! I’ve searched 20 theatres over the past two days. NONE!!!!
Not for all weekend :(

I don’t know what I’m going to do!

That's the one. I know it doesn't exactly give away how or why she got it, but still, that was one moment (whether meaningful or not) I would have rather been "wow"ed by at the theater next week.
Yeah, I feel it's not really a plot spoiler, but it's still the clip that has made me cut off 80% of my social media and TV viewing until after I've seen the movie. (Thankfully I have a backlog of Nexflix to get through.)

Go back in time to October 8th when tickets went on sale?:p

Your best bet now if you want to go opening weekend it to find a place that still does general admission and get there super early.

I made the same mistake last year, so you think I would have learned! Luckily last year I did find a theater with decent seats about 25 miles away. I would gladly do that again.
We’ve gone on Friday the past 2 years.

I blame Thanksgiving vacations. This was the last year.. I get too side tracked and forget to book tickets for too much. We missed our Polar Express annual train ride due to my same forgetfulness/vacation planning. :(

Opening-night crowds here tend to ruin it for me. You’d think they would be serious fans, but they still sit there and talk like they’re in their own living room and it drives me nuts.

As much as it kills me, we will wait until Monday or Tuesday during the day to go.
I have been lucky and have an experience that. Last year was kind of cool because they had a few of the characters at the theater as well. Although it was a little odd that Kylo Ren was in attendance when he wasn’t even in the movie.lol

My small local cinema with 3 screens is showing Last Jedi at midnight on 2 of its screens, both are sold out and looking at the next few days there are only handfuls of single seats available across multiple times.

I got tickets!!!!!!

Saturday at 8:30.. which is very late..and IMAX 3D.. which I don’t care about, but the seats are actually quite decent!

Hopefully kiddo can stay awake! I’ll have him take a nap Saturday afternoon.. or at least attempt it.

One of our dine in theaters here is doing a Sunday Brunch Showing. It’s looks so neat, but you have be minimum age of 21... that one apparently sold out within a few hours of going on sale.

Without spoilers...it was heralded on twitter as "the best" by many attendees...

I've heard that one before...they dropped these "really good" hints for months before VII and that was obviously a cover story. "Not a trainwreck" and "really good" are not synonyms.

But...what's more important is that hamill is being lauded like no actor we've seen.

Hamill IS Star Wars and always has been...he carried empire and jedi and that's the legacy of the franchise...the backbone.

Irvin Kershner and Gary Kurtz stated that many times...there is no phenomenon without hamill. Maybe that's why Ford was cranky all these years? Nah...he's just cranky.

I hate to be cautiously optimistic...but it's creeping in...

As positive and hyped as the Twitter reviews sound (they're certainly not helping my sleepless nights between now and next week ;)) I'm remaining cautiously optimistic as well.

TFA was also hailed as "The best since Empire..", and while I certainly found it to be head & shoulders above prequel level, I was a bit underwhelmed at it's resemblance to ANH's storyline, a main protagonist who was already too perfect from the get-go to actually watch their character grow, and more questions when leaving the theater afterward than feelings of excitement. Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed the movie very much. But it was Rogue One, not TFA, that REALLY brought Star Wars back to life for me. Hopefully this one will do the same.
