Most movies are imperfect, even *gasp* Star Wars.

For me, it's about enjoying the good while still acknowledging what I didn't like, and trying not to turn into one of those losers who spews out immature tirades every day for two years, because The Last Jedi wasn't exactly what they wanted.
Yeah no dip Sherlock most movies are imperfect. I liked the movie but the entire sequel trilogy had so much potential but thanks to the leadership of Kathleen Kennedy and JJ and Rian Johnson it failed. Also do not insult me for having a different opinion from yours. It makes you look ridiculous.

I wasn't insulting you, I was agreeing with you.

But since you're not practicing what you preach, I'll return the favour now. Your failure to understand what I wrote represents a distinct lack of intelligence on your part.

I don’t like the film, but I think it’s hard to take this too seriously. Why? I’m convinced that if the prequels ever got a proper reassessment on RT, they’d be eviscerated.

The Disney “Star Wars” flicks had all earned stellar reviews to this point, with “The Force Awakens” at 93%, “Rogue One” at 83%, “The Last Jedi” at 91%, and even “Solo,” the first “Star Wars” movie to be an outright failure at the box office,” coming in at 70%.

So if the critics are right that TRoS wasn't good, then we should be happy that they thought Episodes 7 & 8 were fantastic. Because, that's what we all agree on, too, right? That Eps 7&8 were fantastic?!

;)

I don’t really care but it’s always a nice bonus when they agree. The weirdest thing here though is the audience score which hasn’t adjusted at all from 86% either up or down no matter how many reviews have been added since release. That type of consistency is strange to say the least. Even the critic reviews started going up a bit before going back down.

Or they finally realized the Emperor was naked.

Ok I apologize. I have a disability and it can be difficult to interpret what other people are saying I apologize. I did not to mean to be rude.

I finally saw Rise and thought it was a big disappointment.

I feel like it undermined so much of the previous movies, particularly doing a disservice to Luke and Anakin. Rise makes Luke's work in the original trilogy and sacrifice in TLJ less meaningful. Whether you liked it or not, he sacrificed himself in TLJ. The intention was that his sacrifice would be meaningful and inspire people to rise up in opposition to evil. Rise says it didn't. We need Lando to rally them? That's inexplicable. Even ignoring TLJ, the guy Luke helped defeat 30 years ago came back like it was nothing. This also negates the sacrifice of Anakin, a character Rise seemed to have forgotten about. As others have said, the Skywalker Saga became the Palpatine Saga.

What was the point of the new trilogy if it was just going to be the old guys dying while the new guys fought the same bad guy as the first trilogy? Overall, I thought it just didn't really have much to say. So much for the idea that anyone (even a nobody whose parents abandoned her) can be a hero. Turns out she's just the spawn of the really evil guy from the original movies.

The Emperor returning also undermines the actual bad guy of the new movies. Instead we get to see Kylo do the same stuff he did in the previous two movies before eventually coming around. So much for the idea that the indifference and greed of too many people is what has allowed evil to return after being vanquished in Episode 6. So much for the notion of the force spreading across the galaxy. Instead we get hints of Finn being force sensitive and....what? Nothing. The idea that children are stolen and brainwashed to be Stormtroopers was another interesting idea that was barely explored. We just mow them down as usual.

I'm not sure where Disney goes from here, but I think they should get away from the Skywalkers. They don't seem to know what to do with them.
