I wonder what this "multiple versions" could mean for the ride. I personally don't think it is true but it would give a large attendance rise and would have a high re-ridability factor, hopefully. Am I the only one who feels that Disney is overusing this 3D.
Im confused. the beginning of the article states Imagineers gave an update today regarding the following things for disney parks worldwide etc etc.
So it sounds like there was a press conference of some kind? And not just republished rumors afterall. but which is it?
They either talked about those concepts publicly or they didnt.

Yes, personally I think 3d tech is underutilzed. Especially in dark rides.
I'm fairly certain the Star Tours information is pretty good based on conversations I've had in the past with people who would know.
3D in the way that is being discussed here is very underutilized and is just now getting used on a large scale. After seeing Up and Bolt in Disney 3D, I can say without hesitation that the future of movies is in 3D and it is wonderful. This is something JT and I can agree on.
Haven't had time to really get into the article but I will say...
Star Tours - Sounds pretty right. Doesn't conflict with anything I have heard.
Fantasyland - Mermaid is very likely. It's been on and off before, but is heading to on again, partly due to Shanghai getting one. That will allow them to double up to save money.
The rest of the FL stuff is still a little "blue". The plan is not new, and never has moved even to "yellow light" before. Could happen, but I think LM has a better chance of coming alone, at least at first.
Washington - Kinda far off in the future, barely past blue sky.
Cruise ships - Heard similar information, but not in this much detail. I like it.
Interesting, I wonder if mermaid will end up being a bare bones cheap scaled down version for here and Shanghai, or as grand as DCA's.
Far as I know it will be exactly the same show, only in a different style building.Interesting, I wonder if mermaid will end up being a bare bones cheap scaled down version for here and Shanghai, or as grand as DCA's.

So we'll only have six lands instead of seven? I can't picture that for some reason... :veryconfu
Any idea what our building would look like? That is if you can disclose that info.
I'm really hoping for some water features/a lagoon like entrance.
Don't count on Toontown going anywhere.
Unless they move the fairies into the Skyway station...
Not really, only that it will be different than DCA's, and will likely expand on the Ariel's Grotto type theme.Any idea what our building would look like?

Maybe they could have a Snow White Attraction in the Enchanted Forest section. Heck they could even add a Beauty and The Beast Dark Ride

Faries in the Skyway station....nah, that's way too 2007ish.

Fine, let the kids kids enjoy their little grotto. It's not like a GIANT REAL LAGOON with STEAMPUNK SUBMARINES and GIANT FREAKIN' SQUIDS would be cooler, OH WAIT- IT WAS.
Not quite.Awhile back the idea being thrown around was the snow white ride would be replaced with a beauty and the beast ride, and a mini seven dwarfs coaster would be the new snow white representation. Sounds like they have ditched this plan, for now.
