Just a thought... would Lucas use Star Tours as his way of killing off Jar Jar? I know very little about the franchise to really understand if that's a ridiculous statement or not, but we do know that he's in the attraction.

Jar Jar is not listed anywhere I can find as partbof the attraction. And the Al Lutz article detailed the characters included an he wasn't on the list.

I'm pretty sure he died in the Episode III when the Sith lords took over and killed all the senators, because he was a part of the senate after Episode II.
