Star Tours Closing Date?

I'm planning on making a trip to WDW to see Star Tours one last time before the refurb. I believe they said it would close in October. Has a more exact date been released yet? I'm thinking about going in September sometime but an October trip would be more convenient for my group. Is that cutting it a bit close?

For what it's worth, Al Lutz has said that the Disneyland Star Tours is planned to close in August, 2010 for the big 8 month rehab.

I hope its after the summer rush. My daughter loves the ride and I was really hoping we could ride 1 last time. Of course if its closed I know(at least I hope) it will be for the better.

Was wondering this myself. My nephews are going for their first trip in October. They would love to ride. Anyone know if the Jedi Training we still be going on during the rehab? Bad auntie told them all about it. Forgot that the area might be closed :eek:
