Rex is probably going to get replaced. Either by another robot, an alien, or a video projection ("hologram").
Although it would have been funny if he started the new ride by saying "Welcome aboard. This is only my SECOND flight but I am much better adjusted to my programming so sit back relax and enjoy the flight!" or something to that effect.

I agree. I'd much rather keep the feeling of riding through the Star Wars universe rather than running into all the characters out of nowhere. Perhaps most of the characters listed will appear in the Star Tours advertisment screen in the queue. I'd prefer that.

Well, eh, I don't know. They'd fit better there than on the ride anyways. I mean, I don't see how you could really include them on a simulator ride. :shrug: Except perhaps for Akbar, he can always come on the left and right hand screens and say its a trap or somthing.

George Lucas is an Evil Genius
He has a tremendous imagination, and a horrible lack of self-control. Imagine what effective editing of his scripts might have done for the Star Wars films, especially the prequels. Hopefully, his input into Star Tours 2.0 will be limited, and the Imagineers will contribute some intelligent story-telling to keep the nonsense under control. The addition of that two-headed thing is already making me nervous about where this is going.

No character fests, please! You can't have characters from the PT (who have most likely died already) in something that takes place after the OT!
I'm going to have to submit my full speculation of what ST 2.0 is going to be about once I ride ST 1. I'll take notes when I ride it. :ROFLOL:

Considering it will be my first time riding it as a Star Wars fan, and I don't remember if I did ride it the last time I was at WDW, nor do I even remember it at all... it's gonna be good.
