Tigger I was in MK on 4th of July and was nowhere NOWHERE near as crowded Potter was the next week. POTTER IS PACKED!

Potter has no capacity. Disney should be worried because they can design better lands?

I've been to WDW during every month of the year. I know quiet trust me. But compare it to Potter's summer it has been a quiet one.

For someone living in New Jersey I'd love to have your luck visiting the park every month this year to judge crowds like you do.

I was at MK last 3rd and 4th of July and I was able to finish 3/4 of the park by Lunch time. I don't think that the 4th (during the day) is a good gauge of how the parks are doing that season because I think lately many people have the mindset that the parks are too crowded on those days so you should avoid at all costs.

Plus, MK is bigger and has more capacity than IoA.

How big is IOA, I read once it was around 107 acres. Isn't that about the size of MK?

It all pretty much adheres to what I've been hearing so far:

- Pixie Hollow is gone.
- M&Gs getting downscaled or consolidated but not eliminated.
- Slight increase in budget, combined with savings from cuts, will go to 1-2 new, C- or D- ticket rides. Most likely, traditional dark rides.

Pixie Hollow IS happening!

How many times do Jt04 and I have to keep on repeating ourselves?! :brick:

Ok whatever you say. You guys know everything right? Your the experts.

I ask of you go over there and you tell me what you think. Instead of just looking at pictures and YouTube videos.

I've spoke of nothing I haven't personally experienced. Unless you can show me where I made statements about Potter not being crowded.

I took objection to saying the Disney parks are "quiet" right now, they are far from it. No matter how you want to try and sway it. As I said, if those parks were "quiet" two weeks ago I don't even want to imagine what they would be like "busy".

But continue your concern trolling, by all means.

No because Potter has the unique and great shops Disney has been trying to create but fail to.

I.e. The Emporium on Main Street.

you're truly getting ridiculous. The current lay out of the Emporium was changed because MK shops had the capacity issues that Harry Potter CURRENTLY has. The quaint, individual shops and unique merchandise offerings no longer worked with the levels of attendance MK was getting and unfortunately had to go by the wayside.

Does the new Emporium suck kind of? To us WDW enthusiests, yes. Does it make sense? Yes.

Fortunate for the rest of us, these small shops are still available at DL for the most part.

I'm going to be a crass college boy.

It's like saying between two guys in a locker room one guy has a larger male member than another because he's shorter and skinnier.

If you have five thousand people in a land and it's packed doesn't mean it's more popular, making more money, or whatever than a land that can comfortably hold twice as much.

This isn't opinion. If you're logic is true then Peter Pan is more popular than Pirates due to crowds and wait times.

You've never compared all of IoA to MK, and neither are we. This is about one land. Don't change the subject here.

Your the boss here. Your the big guy. Whatever you say is right.

Just know Potter is kicking butt while Disney is still having their "busy" summer. Since you said they were far from quiet.

Look at it this way DHS is closing at 7:00pm most days and its supposedly a "busy summer" meanwhile IOA's hours have been extended for the remainder of the month

And when I went to Universal/IOA in the off season (December) they opened at 10AM and closed at 6PM with rides not being open until noon. Not exactly my idea of a "day" in the parks. We had to rush to get everything in from noon until 6PM and didn't get to look around much.

I just purchased a season pass to Universal for the first time last week. Before this year I had one to Sea World & Busch Gardens. But now I should be able to roam freely without the feeling of being rushed.

So to wrap up the thread so far:

1) No one can confirm what changes are being made.

2) No one has confirmed these changes will be even a ride

3) No one has confirmed what part of the original plans have been scrapped.

4) No one can confirm when we will know about these changes

5) If the changes are a ride (which hasn't been confirmed), no one can confirm if it will be an E, D, F, G, X, Y, Z ticket ride.

Hey read somewhere this past week that WDW is down 2% year to date in attendance... while UNiversal is up roughly 2%.

Yes. No surprise there. But for all of the talk about the paucity of crowds at WDW, it's still just a 2% drop. Looks like they're keeping the parks open late for no reason at all...:veryconfu
