But, smart thinking about the ring. You'll end up with a great one! If you want really sparkly, may I also recommend going for a round cut. Those babies sparkle more than other cuts. ;)

yeah I've decided it'd be either round or princess (square incase anyone... oh right i'm in a room full of girls, nevermind)... but I know allie would prefer round...

AND OF COURSE... round is more expensive...

Hey, How has your day been?

It's been good... slow... been looking up vacations all day long... gotta love the week before a close (which reminds me, you may not see me all next week... :()

size never matters. :D

:lookaroun

(It really is about the shiny. I love how mine sparkles)

yeah, I don't think allie would care about size all that much... she really wouldn't want like a big rock... she's not that type of girl... she'll definitely want something that will sparkle...

Mine's usually the same... though I need to clean it. You know what works best when cleaning it...? No joke.... Windex. That's what my jeweler recommended and it's great. Spray it with Windex, brush it with a toothbrush, rinse it with warm water and blow dry it.
I have the warranty where I can get mine cleaned every 6 months and my time is coming up in May again.

Really...? I didn't know that. Well... I feel a LITTLE bit better about what DH spent then... While I didn't care much about the size, I did really want a round, sparkly diamond.

Mine did too [well, not six months, but whenever I popped (spelled it right!) in...] Though DH bought it in Chicago so.... So, Windex works great for me.

No reds and oranges!!

Yay zombie Dot!

Brb, our neighbor's puppy is in our backyard.
I must return him.

just playing around with rings one day... nothing too seriously... say a ring was like... $5000 princess... it could be anywhere from $6000-$6500 for round...

a solid $1000-$2000 markup depending on price already...

but its what would make Allie happy (anything would, but she said she wanted round... she's gonna have it for the rest of the life... not going to get her something else to save a couple bucks...)

tough break...

Really?! Hmmm.. I guess you pay for that extra sparkle then.
One more piece of advice, get whatever ring you buy appraised and let your home owners insurance, or whatever know about it. My ring was appraised for a little more than $2,000 more than what DH spent so if anything were to happen to it, we'd be more than okay.

My week seems slow too, I just can't wait until next week. Wait, so you have vaca next week?

Si! Mine is a round cut and like I said, sparkles like the dickens!

I feel so left out. I don't have an engagement ring... hmmm... This will do.

No...the Patience Pants, so far, got to stay in the closet today. :D

That is good! I love the days when I don't have to bring the Patience Pants out. :sohappy:
