I love all the wedding ring talk...so sweet.
The other day, my friends and I saw a lady with the biggest ring ever!
It was probably my college tuition + wedding + first house + first baby. :dazzle:
I love the simple rings....the huge rings aren't pretty imo.

I saw a ring like that at a baseball game once...hang on, I think I have a pic

I do have to say... my mother's friend has a ring with the main stone the size of my thumb nail--white part and all... and that is NOT an exaggeration. That thing is huge. And it is gorgeous! Though she has big hands...really big hands for a woman. It would look downright silly on my fingers.

Pretty and meaningful doesn't have to be crazy expensive. Take a look at rings that are half the price of what you had in mind. You might be surprised to find something that is just right.

this is exactly what I just got done telling my buddy...



(wow did it just sound like I came outta the closet... it did!)



anyway, he's been with his gf as long as allie and I... and he's proposing soon... and he wanted to get like all top notch in the 4 c's... i've done my research and I told him a bit about them; and he thought he had to go big or go home in all of them...

anyway... comes back with a 1.51 carat $10k ring... and I was just like "dude, that's ridiculous... you do not need to spend that"

um... yeah... that's a little too much. I wished you'd have talked to my DH.

About the 4c's. I always thought color and cut were more important than carat. :shrug: (Probably color the most important) I've seen some larger stones that just didn't sparkle and were so cloudy and almost yellowish. I would have taken a clearer stone one third the size of that any day.

I think that's a good point.
Some big rings look good on women...and some don't.
The women I have seen have these little dainty fingers and a huge rock on a finger.

Mine is so sparkly...I have no idea what WHF did, but it sparkles like the dickens!
