Hey y'all! I'm new to this forum, but I just applied to the college program today, and I have a phone interview tomorrow! I'm really excited, but I'm also really nervous. What do they usually ask on the interview? I don't really have a problem with being positive and smiling because I usually do that regularly :)
I'm just really nervous though! Any suggestions?
Enjoy the conversation and stay on-topic. Know why you want to work at WDW and why you want whatever position they talk about (that's a good indication of where you'll go if you get accepted), but, more importantly, why THEY want YOU to work for THEM (without getting cocky). Remember, at the end of the day, they need to feel that the company (and the guests) are benefiting from hiring you.
Good luck!

Accepted but not assigned?

My son was accepted for spring advantage but was not informed what area he will be working in. Is this unusual? How can he find out?

they find out at casting :) aka when they arrive....atleast thats what ive been told :) hope this helps

Thank you for responding! After talking w/ several current CP's and reading the posts on this thread, we were starting to get a bit worried. I know a specific role isn't assigned till you arrive, but it seems like most people at least know what area they'll be working in. Guess we'll have to be patient and wait till he gets there in January to find out where he'll be.

You do know the role (attractions, merchandise, ect) before you arrive. It's the location you won't find out until you check in

NO we don't know - that was my initial question. My son was NOT informed what role he has been assigned. We have no idea what area he will be working in. He has definitely been accepted and been assigned start/end dates. But nowhere on any of the emails (or mail) he received does it list a role of any kind. That was why I asked if this was normal, and if not what should we do. We couldn't find a contact number to call anywhere on the emails he received.

I would try contacting recruiting then, as the role is supposed to be sent along with the acceptance info

Any good news?

Not yet - my son is not quite the Disney fanatic I am, and he's in the midst of getting ready for finals so he hasn't called yet, despite my daily badgering LOL It's all I can do not to make the call myself, but I'm trying to be patient. I will definitely let you know when I have news!

He'll find out on the first day when he arrives at casting. That's one of the most exciting parts about the first few days! Hope he has a great time. It was the most incredible experience of my life!
