Enjoying so far. This feels like one of the first D+ property in a while where they realize they are doing a TV show not just a long movie cut into pieces.
Has that been the complaint with Disney star wars? I guess it depends on the definition of Disneyfy. Most seem, like myself, to complain about the lack of vision and treatment of the brand. We knew right away they weren't going to go all G rated with it during ep7 and Rogue one. Andor right off the bat kills that informant. And Kylo stabbing solo through the chest wasn't all that tame either.SW Fans: Disney's going to "Disneyfy Star Wars!!"
Disney: Protagonist puts a bullet in a witness's head after accidentally killing someone.
Yea, I like Skarsgards character as well. He could become a great star wars character. Hopefully the show hits it stride next episode as I don't know if the average viewer will stick around too much longer if it stays this slowThe show looks beautiful, but there just isn't enough to it right now. They are also wasting an awesome performance by Stellan Skarsgard, whose playing dual roles. Both of which seem to be opposites of one another. Around the Rebels, he's gruff and intimating. But in the presence of Non-Rebels he's flamboyant and colorful. Even his voice changes dramatically between the two variations.

I thought rogue one was worse. In the show they were following and going after him. In the movie they were on the same team. LolThis is a rather profound moment for cold-blood assassination by the 'hero' of the story.
Just a point being made about the online fandom...
It's the best looking D+ show so far. But to be fair, we haven't really seen any huge action scenes that would need extensive special effects yet. So hopefully they didn't blow the budget all on the practical sets. That way we hopefully don't see a terrible Vespa scooter chase like in Fett. But wow does this show lookexpensivegorgeousexpensive! lol It's nice to see something where you aren't constantly aware of budget restraints and so much looks practical rather than CG!
Yeah, I am pretty surprised that heist didn't occur. There's too much talking and not enough action going on; I was pretty cool with the intro of Andor to the group last episode and the distrust but don't need a whole another episode about it.Wow, another really slow episode. I'm really surprised they didn't get into the heist this episode. I really wonder if people are sticking around for this. It seems like it wouldn't be all hat interesting to the casual fan.
If you're a big fan of Star wars, I have no doubt most of those people are engaged in the show. I just wonder what the average Joe casual fan thinks. What has happened so far really didn't need more than two episodes. I think most were hoping to see Cassian on cool super secret spy missions. That might still happen, they're just taking the long way to get there.Slow, yes- but I was fully engaged with every moment. Gorgeous show, deftly crafted. Certainly a series for those who never complained about the senate scenes in the prequels. Next week: pew-pew.

Meh. I think there is sometimes too much effort going into backstory or “filling in the gaps” with franchises. Big Star Wars fan but I don’t really need to know or see how the Rebellion developed (nor did I care about seeing how the Death Star plans were acquired). I mean, it’s okay to have that information shown but it’s more important to have an engaging interesting story than going out of the way to provide background. Right now Andir is too much exposition and not enough action; hope that changes soon.In a 12 episode series, im fine with the slower episodes as long as they lead to something great and I think it will this series. Where it's also based on the formation of the rebellion which is such an important part of the overall story in Star Wars, im fine with them taking there time on it
Yes, it has to have a great payoff for sure. Something Disney has really had problems accomplishing. Mando did a great job of sticking the landing in both season. Everything else, not so much. This show will determine if I keep D+ going, or if I jump ship and just wait until a couple things are completely out that I want to see. And then re-activate, binge what I want, then cancel until the next batch. In a 12 episode series, im fine with the slower episodes as long as they lead to something great and I think it will this series.
