SPOILERS: Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ Series

In hindsight, we were spoiled by the likes of Mandalorian season 1 and WandaVision being our first Disney+ series based on Marvel and Star Wars.

What they've done since has been much more inconsistent in quality and I expect the problem will only get worse as they struggle to keep mining these two properties to fill their streaming schedule (because they're too afraid to try anything else).
Yea they can't seem to find the formula for TV in my opinion. I love Mando, and think it's the best of the D+ shows by far. But even that has some issues. Hopefully they figure it out sooner rather than later.

The cgi is ugly…but they’re still working on the technology.

If they can use this someday to do a REAL sequel…I’m all for it
Thats why i keep hoping for a good animation quality (bad batch as an example) not the first clone wars, show that takes place between 6 and 7. That way you can have Han Leia and Luke in the stories we all wanted but not recast or cringy cgi. I can pretty much ignore what they have done so far since im so wrapped up in the story.. but an entire show of it would be too jarring.

What i would like is that obi wan finds some jedis somewhere we already heard them name drop quinlan vos's name and Obi sets a trap for vader. So once again Vader is more powerful but is tricked by his master. Obi knows he cant defeat Vader and tries to appeal to Anakin, which we get flashbacks to the good times of Anakin and Obi and theres a split second where he feels Anakin returning. Then blam full Vader full of hatrid so Obi signals for the other Jedi and fighters, and says he has the high ground again.

Vader full of rage slaughters everyone including Vos and the other Jedi.

Obi barely escapes but the rest are slaughtered.

Obi talks to Qui gon somewhere in the episode.

Obi loses more hope and just waits for luke to get older but no longer tries to get close to him... hoping that either Luke comes to him, oif not hes ok with the Jedi being gone. Which would play into a new hope where Obi wasnt looking to train luke and wasnt looking for an adventure.

Vader saying Obi thought he could turn him

Vader saying he was now the master

More Jedi dead and all Obis fault

you could do that in 30 minutes.. now reva and luke i have no idea where thats going.. and we still have to figure out how everyone is mind wiped in regards to kidnap leia and obi will come out from hiding. And they clearly knew where she was, and its not just Reva.

Then again I wanted a movie that was like cast away (and i think ewan could pull it off)... have him alone in his thoughts no friends nobody to talk to and just losing his mind. Trying to talk to qui gon and not getting anything. And he would have to defend luke from jabbas people or bounty hunters that try to locate obi like black krrsantan
at the end of each episode hed be looking over luke and the 70s hulk music would play.

For as many problems I've had with the show I'm oddly excited for the finale - we'll finally be able to judge the season as a whole.
thats what ive been saying throughout. We need to look at these disney plus shows as a movie not a weekly sitcom. You wouldnt walk out (unless it was really bad) in the middle of a movie and review it. You have to see the entire thing.

My excitement is more expectation of how messy it will be. Oh no! How will these characters we know are alive in 10 years' time survive this!

Is the Vader / Kenobi plot done? How would they even inject it into the final?

There's zero satisfying way the Reva knowing about Luke plot can play out. Unless Obi-Wan kills her to protect Luke. This won't happen because the psychopath Jedi murder is apparently a good person as she's a "victim." So can't be evil. Will they go so far as her saving Luke?

What final example of Ben being an incompetent old fool will we get?

Will the Empire remember they have Tie Fighters?

I'm expecting something unfathomably dumb this week.

Tatooine. Where rejected Sith Lords go to die!

It's clearly the most important system in the Galaxy. I don't know why Luke was bored living there.

Imagine if we get Vader there in the final episode!!! I wouldn't put it past them.

I'm still curious as to what the structure of the episode will be. The refugee ship needs to escape somehow. Will we get exciting space action? I doubt it. It'll be solved in some dumb way, probably with blind luck and the Empire barely trying to stop them.

Bail said he was going to Tatooine. So I assume Ben takes Leia there. Will her and young Luke meet? That'd be dumb, so it's on the table.

I wonder how gracefully they'll wrap up Obi-Wan's personal main season long arc trying to give Luke a toy?

It depends on the show, but given Obi-Wan began its' life as a movie, it's appropriate to judge it as a whole.

The Mandalorian has a (mostly) contained adventure each week, and some episodes are better than others. Obi-Wan is closer to a movie split into six parts.

Obi-Wan is just a long escort mission. Needs more side quests.

A perfect ending episode to a fantastic series. I am more than satisfied and prey they don’t go and do another series.

For me the gap is now filled in that story
i dont see why the season 2 would be needed... to me it had a satisfying conclusion.. unless its the show we thought we might be getting where obi is jedi ninja and saves luke when hes in danger against jabba and his henchmen and bounty hunters and it leaves vader behind.

im more excited about andor now.

not a bad ending. i kind of expected qui-gon to pop up somewhere. didn’t expect to see the emperor again. too bad we couldn’t get more than 6 episodes.
