Kind of the point, their bowling is so overpriced it is pointless, of course their food is overpriced, even by Disney Standards.
Everything about Splitsville is unfortunate except for the sleek MCM design. Food is Applebee's quality at best with double the prices. Bar features those unfortunate pre-mixed cocktails. The bowling is outrageously priced with rigid time enforcement. I rarely find a reason to go there.

Perfect summary.

But from 50 yards away, it looks great.

Oh, and one last thing...for some reason, a good amount of their rolls had cream cheese as an ingredient. I opted for my roll without it, and can't honestly understand why that's even a thing...Cream cheese and fish only go together on a bagel.

That's an East Coast/Midwest thing. It somehow makes what they consider to be "sushi" more palatable to Splitsville's core audience in a mall in suburban Florida.

The East Coast executive chefs and marketing executives at Splitsville who approved their menu are not aiming at a SoCal crowd, nor could they even know what SoCal consumers have as a point of reference for sushi or a fun night on the town.

Splitsville obviously missed the mark in Orange County, California. It's now a joke here.

But in Florida? More "sushi" n' fructose corn syrup, please!

Permit is for Disney Springs, FL not the Downtown Disney, CA Location. Or did I miss something?

Good eye! That makes more sense now. I'd be surprised if Anaheim's Splitsville is even open a year from now, as it's simply the wrong offering for the SoCal market. It's a failing concept for Southern California and Disneyland audiences, so I doubt they'd try and invest more money in it here.

Wow, is the food that bad? You would have to pay me to eat there and we have tried at least 4 times and two locations for Applebee's.

As the poster formerly known as Hatbox Ghostbuster, you must be right about that. Coincidentally, I've never been back to Splitsville since the time of my original post.

It is a nice reminder though that I wish DtD could get a proper sushi place. Maybe a partnership with Katsuya? Surely Disney could lure (hehe) a nice sushi chef over.

The dearly departed Yamabuki at the Paradise Pier Hotel, particularly after its 2007 remake and relaunch, was wonderful. There's a market here for quality sushi and sashimi, but obviously the Splitsville team whose culinary goal seems to be simply being a tad better than your average Applebee's is not going to be able to offer that to us.

Nobu in Newport Beach has a clientele that's a bit OC smarmy, but the sushi chefs and staff there are clearly qualified. But if you can handle the smarminess, the people watching there is hysterical as a floor show!

Closer to Disneyland, Ohshima in the city of Orange is extremely good. The team there knows what they are doing.

Splitsville? Not so much, unless you want a Cocktail-On-Tap or the fries instead of the garden salad.

I definitely need to try those places!
