Everyone gasps! It's a lot of fun.

Did you ever see any random Mii's that look like fictional characters? I swear I've seen a Darth Vader Mii before.

I remember making a Vader Mii yearsss ago.

If you want REAL Bowling, you should check out Irvine Lanes.

This ad brought to by one of the small share partners... ME!

We made a nice profit this year, and Boomers did well also (They pay us rent for the land we own).

I just read that the Disney Springs location has 30 lanes. How many will DTD have?

How could you do this to Guy?

I am not a fan of pins on strings... Cheap, quasi bowling. But Guy hopefully do well, but he has a LOT of competition nearby, including lanes at Anaheim GardenWalk, The Outlets at Orange, MainPlace Mall and an old school set of Lanes (Linbrook) on Brookhurst, just north of Ball.

But Guy will make more on the food, arcade and drinks than actual bowling. And tourists don't care about leagues and regulars. Just hope he doesn't expect too many locals that don't have a DLR AP.

I just came here to say I haven’t enjoyed bowling in years. I loved it when I was a kid and enjoyed it through my teens but now when anyone mentions bowling I just kind of yawn. I also suck. Like I have gotten really bad. Bowling is not like riding a bike for some reason.

I’m the same way. I enjoyed bowling as a kid, and now as an adult, I’m not longer interested. My family suggested going bowling for this recent Christmas (ugh), but we had some issues with our plumbing and could no longer go. I was so happy.

Lol. It’s weird because everyone else my age seems to enjoy it. I feel like they are pretending to enjoy it though.

Bowling is one of those weird things that I don't do for long stretches of time, then do it once for maybe an hour, and tell myself, "I should do this more often". But it rarely happens.

As it happens, I am excited for this place to open. While it doesn't quire replace HOB like @Dr. Hans Reinhardt said, I am excited about being able to eat sushi at Disney. Now if they could just open a REAL high-end sushi bar also...

Depending on the size and vibe of the restaurant and bar areas I can see this place being more of a hangout for me than a place to bowl. When visiting DLR I almost always pay a visit to Uva Bar to have a couple of cocktails or beers and people watch. Splitsville, with its outdoor terrace, food, drinks and live music could be another option for unwinding far away from the crowds in the parks but still be inside the Disney bubble.

The formula for SPLITZVILLE, make money on food and drink.

How to do that? Place the bowling alley and arcades near the bar. The adults pay for the kids to play, while the adultz sit back and relax with liquid beverages that are overpriced.

Pretty simple, a form of babysitting to allow the adults to relax.

We have enough fun when we do it 1 or 2 times a year, generally alcohol makes it more enjoyable.

Ahhh yes. That seems to be the missing substance from my life that I don’t realize. No wonder everyone is always in such a good mood. At some point during my 20s, alcohol began to give me INSANE heartburn and I cut my drinking almost down to nothing. Put it this way, I can literally feel a buzz from a few sips of whiskey, wine or one shot of tequila. Which I suppose is a good thing.

Hey maybe this will take the place of using DLR itself as the babysitter...:p:D:hilarious:

The dynamic menu will include bowling alley favorites along with creative entrees and top-notch sushi. Here’s a sampling of new tasty items exclusive to the Downtown Disney District location:

Macho Nachos: Loaded with seasoned ground beef, shredded cheddar jack cheese, queso, black bean corn salsa and pickled jalapenos. Nachos are then drizzled with avocado ranch and served with a side of sour cream.
Chicken Thigh High Sliders: Two crispy chicken thigh sliders tossed in Asian barbecue sauce and topped with slaw.

Poke Bowl: Your choice of salmon, ahi tuna or tofu with pickled radish and avocado over bamboo rice. Bowls are topped with spicy mayo, Nori threads, sesame seeds, scallions and Togarashi spice.

Sweet N’ Spicy Chicken Bowl: Tempura-battered chicken, broccoli, red and green peppers are tossed in spicy Thai chili sauce and served over sushi rice.
