Geez, could the Splitzville owner get any more personable?

What in interesting juxtaposition of the bland corporate-drone PR bunny Mr. Ramirez and the usual pablum the Disney Parks Blog belches up each day contrasted against a real guy conveniently named Guy. Guy, who is definitely not a Southern Californian and definitely not a corporate drone, actually has genuine enthusiasm for this project. What a refreshing change of pace!

And I have instant respect for Guy for pronouncing the word bowling as bowlin'. The California state bear bowling on that mural is a fun touch too. Guy and his little video tour has me more excited for this than anything the Disney Parks Blog has been able to say about it in the last year of official Disney dribble.

Although, that sushi still looks kind of gross, and made with Krab. They should get Guy to do a video about the sushi and how much he likes it and then I wouldn't worry about it so much. Lets go Bowlin'!

I think I'm going to go bowling at my local lanes, and then send Disney 50 bucks for a Splitsville scorecard. It will be like virtually bowling at Splitsville without the bother of traveling to Anaheim.

First impressions: I like how the lanes are grouped into small sections, which will make the experience more intimate than a traditional bowling alley. I also like the handpainted murals. The live music on the dining patio is a nice touch too.

Aside from the lackluster sushi menu this would be something I'd be down to do while vacationing at DLR. That said I still don't think this place makes up for the loss of a live music venue.

I just came here to say I haven’t enjoyed bowling in years. I loved it when I was a kid and enjoyed it through my teens but now when anyone mentions bowling I just kind of yawn. I also suck. Like I have gotten really bad. Bowling is not like riding a bike for some reason.

You should just go bowlin' with Guy, and then none of that would matter.

The Nintendo Wii has an excellent bowling game. You mimic the motion of bowling and pins fall down on the screen. I think Disney should put out a Splitsville version of the game and hold virtual bowling tournaments.

I always loved throwing the ball backwards into the crowd on that game.

Same, but after watching that video, I wouldn't dare ever tell Guy I hate bowlin. And I'll go bowlin and act like I love it, just so I don't hurt his little feelings.
