Just think they had to pay someone to remove it too.

I guess it doesn’t matter since Josh said there isn’t a shortage of money. I assume that means we should should see lots of new attractions over the next 3-5 years.

Exciting times await.
Right?
Hello?
Is this thing on?
We got Tron coming up, Tiana, uhmmm whatever OLC is doing in Japan, some new boats for the Cruise line and a new Island for said cruise line.

Someone brought their Splash Mountain plush collection for a final photo. I got this photo from a FB fan group. (This is NOT a shrine of random plushes.)

Oh how exciting. Just what WDW in Orlando needed to help fix capacity problems for all their theme parks. Tron (while Splash is closed for 2 years).

Hopefully Moana’s waterfalls in Epcot will be icing on the cake.

Can’t wait for all their other projects to open they are working on constructing right now. 👀

We still have to beyond Thunder Mountain which is still in blue sky and will not help capacity for years if it does end up happening at all. Josh's we have unlimited money comment was a riddiculus thing to say.

I don’t think the time of the refurb is going to be an issue. People seems to think just because Disney had no reason to rush the builds of Rat and Tron, that Disney can’t push out a build. Tron wasn’t done sooner bc they didn’t want/need it to be done sooner. Its construction was perfectly paced (once Covid became a factor) to be complete and opened to coincide with the ending of the 50th. From a pacing standpoint it was almost perfectly scheduled.
I hope what you mean by, “I don’t think the time of the refurb is going to be an issue”, means it will be done in a reasonable time.

I hope you are right. Let’s see what happens.

I find the fact the you are comparing GMR to Splash Mountain laughable.

It’s like comparing a random All Star to Michael Jordan.

And I find it bizarre that you think Splash is that much better than GMR. I'd probably take it over GMR too if I had to pick one in a vacuum, but GMR is still one of WDW's all-time great attractions. You make it sound like GMR was just a random ride instead of an Imagineering masterpiece that served as the central attraction of an entire park.

Splash isn't the first great attraction WDW has closed/replaced, and some other losses (especially at EPCOT) were probably worse. Of course it's still disappointing and I'm sad to see it go, but it's not the most important thing that's ever happened.
