This is the current madness for Splash mountain, currently at a over 3.5 hour wait
In thinking about it more, 20K has to be the worst -- mainly because they didn't actually replace it with anything. They just shut it down and left the space mostly unused for decades; it only became an actual attraction again when they built New Fantasyland.
Can you imagine if they shut down Splash Mountain and left the building there in plain sight unused for a decade?
Except 20k was not that great a ride, nor is Submarine Voyage at DLR. They are slow loaders and have long lines because they’re ok/good rides. The only thing that more acceptable about this closure is that the flume will return.
How much could they have made,if they weren’t nervous of bad pr.So how much money do you think they made in pressed pennies? If you buy one Disney makes 99 cents. There were lines at the penny machine in the gift shop yeasterday.
All joking aside i have a suspicion it might be even earlier. I dont think they want it down longer than needed both for the excitement and capacity. Also i think they had enough time to already have alot built and the budget prepared, and that was the reason they left it open as long as they did.Haha real talk, I do think this attraction opens late-Spring 2025.
That's all we can hope for. If Splash can't stay then we have to hope for the best ride possible. I'm still going to miss the soundtrack thoughI'm sad I didn't get to ride Splash Mountain before its closure. I will miss it terribly. Let's hope Tiana's Bayou Adventure proves a worthy replacement.
It would be awesome if it was Tony Baxter. So who gets to ride the last log?
Cast Members?
Probably cast after the park clearsSo who gets to ride the last log?

Same here! That's all we can hope for. If Splash can't stay then we have to hope for the best ride possible. I'm still going to miss the soundtrack though
Oh they were sitting on a gold mine. I'm honestly suprised those penny machines were still around since they obviously had to replace the pennies inside them. I'm sure they made a decent chunk of change no pun intend. How much could they have made,if they weren’t nervous of bad pr.
Fortunately, the music is still there for all to enjoy forever. Thank you, Randy Thornton, for creating those outstanding ride-through mixes of both versions. That's all we can hope for. If Splash can't stay then we have to hope for the best ride possible. I'm still going to miss the soundtrack though
He’s been too preoccupied with his work on the remake, so much so that he hasn’t had time to publicly comment on it since his involvement was announced. It would be awesome if it was Tony Baxter.
Not that it really matters but none of these were considered "E-ticket" at the time of their closure and were walk ons prior to the closure announcements. I still maintain that the decision to close/re-theme Splash is unprecedented; at least at Walt Disney World. Whether or not it was necessary or was the right decision, that's a matter of opinion at this point.
They don’t care any more on other definite E attractionsIf Splash Mountian was such an E-Ticket, Management would have cared more about broken effects.
