FotL?Which is an odd jump to make since FotL is after the movie and uses *all* the songs from the movie.

I’m not sure what you’re referring to, but the exterior as shown in the recently unveiled model looks nothing like a salt mine. Except for the absence of the tree and the addition of the water tower, it doesn’t look all that different from the current version. Many posters (myself included) have voiced concern about the salt-mine storyline/concept, but (if I’m not mistaken) yours are the only posts that refer to the exterior looking like a salt mine. The salt mine exterior is stupid, and it's interesting that almost everyone seems to agree with that sentiment regardless of whether they support the overhaul or not (rare to see such a unanimous consensus here).
Oops, dropped the final K for King.FotL?

Got it—thanks!Oops, dropped the final K for King.
I agree it looks like it’s missing something, but I don’t think it looks like a salt mine.It just looks naked. Honestly I would rather the water tower be up on top maybe not directly on top but dead center on top of the drop if that makes sense (logs would go under it)
The tower takes away focus from the drop and the focus should remain on the drop theme or no theme.
Yes, surely if people were so wound up about the notion of a ride set in 1920s Louisiana sitting alongside the Rivers of America they would find a Muppets ride an even worse thematic fit? While Princess and the Frog is definitely not a great fit, I think The Muppets is probably worse unless they're basically just hosting something completely topically independent of The Muppets themselves. Anything that frames the Rivers of America should, in my opinion, speak to a specific American place as viewed through the lens of Americana.
Yeah, it doesn't look like a salt mine. It looks like Splash Mountain, but someone has stuck up what amounts to two huge, ostentatious, wordy billboards that explain the plot in as ham-handed a manner as possible. I mean... that's just awful Imagineering, right? They literally put up an anachronistic banner explaining the plot. How can you have faith in the project when this is one of the first things they've shown?I’m not sure what you’re referring to, but the exterior as shown in the recently unveiled model looks nothing like a salt mine. I don't like the signage or the crown on the water tower (the tower itself is passable but not great). Yes, I agree. If they took the crown off the water tower and removed the banner (which I find ridiculously ham-fisted), that would go a long way to improving the exterior. Indeed, not sure at all what they are thinking with the "A Celebration of Friends and Family" banner.I don't like the signage or the crown on the water tower (the tower itself is passable but not great). I think we're mostly saying that we hope they don't built it, not that it is 100% confirmed. Same with the crown on the water tower. Why would we think the sign on the model is exactly what they’re going to build?

Can you imagine the pushback to any voice in the room that expressed a scintilla of skepticism as to the internal logic, entertainment value, or fun for the guests for these proposals?Well it’s not a good sign I’ll tell you that much. Nor is the water tower with the ridiculous princess crown on it.
I saw it more as an “insert banner here” placeholder.Well it’s not a good sign I’ll tell you that much. Nor is the water tower with the ridiculous princess crown on it.

I imagine it as a frenzy of ideas for how they could technically ditch Brers for Tiana while also saving money. Can you imagine the pushback to any voice in the room that expressed a scintilla of skepticism as to the internal logic, entertainment value, or fun for the guests for these proposals?
Wi-Fi antenna booster? What about the crown on the water tower? What’s is that place-holding for?
