Splash Mountain falling apart (literally?)

They have to evacuate every guest from the entire ride.
This seems to be crazy inefficient. Since it is essentially a batch process, could they not just evacuate the affected batch of logs, CM could jog logs from a local control panel? Sounds like TDO could use some continuous improvement engineers.

when it comes to safety and ride systems.. efficiency doesn't even have a seat at the table.
Surely efficiency does, they could have installed 5 point harnesses instead of lap bars. 5 point harnesses would be entirely more "safe" than lap bars. There exists some solution that can satisfy legal constraints and yet improve efficiency.

They have a ton of them... I just can't figure out what they spend their time doing.

Last time I saw one he was standing there with a clip board doing time studies at the bus stops at CBR trying to figure out why 4 busses from each park passed by before the one that was needed finally showed up after 50 minutes. Hopefully MM+ will install readers at each stop so they can remotely count the time and number of people waiting. Then they can direct a bus to the individual stop/route as needed instead of the mindless "follow the loop" system they have now.

I would think they could simulate that sort of problem...

Hahaha, that so made me remember my CBR trips...Seeing Epcot bus after Epcot bus...when you wanted to go to DTD!

In 2010, outside of the first few days, we just decided to play bus roulette, and jump the first one we saw. I enjoyed that more. But, in 2011 I made too many ADRs...and went way overboard in 2012. This year, I'm barely planning anything with ADRs. Either we can do it, or we can't...but I'd rather be relaxed.

Judging from a few videos posted on YouTube the past couple days, Jumping Br'er Rabbit AA is already broken or has been turned off. Also, one of the three frogs in the very beginning is completely motionless.

I dont think broken so much as turned off but hopefully everything will be in peak condition by the end of the month.

You're probably right with him just being turned off, but it's also possible he's already not working right. I've heard over the years he is a very complicated AA.

If he is broken already that would be seriously sad considering all the work that has gone in over the past 3 months but I really think with all the evacs and break downs that some kinks and bugs are being worked out and when they are hopefully splash will be the way it was directly after the refurb I mean most AA's are working I just want them all at 100 and the laughing place always working but I think the reason that are might be down is because people have been mentioning how the boats have been backing up and out of sync and if one of the jumping fountains hit a guest they might be less than pleased.

Anyone else notice that the bunny raking leaves is still only saying one of the three lines of dialog that he has? I was hoping they'd fix this in the refurb, but obviously they didn't.

The jumping AA normally will skip alternate logs as it resets if the dispatch is too tight. Hopefully thats the reason.

Nope. logs are very far apart in both videos.

[edit]
Found another video where he is off. You can even see him sticking up a bit at 4:32.

When the first few videos post-refurb came out, I was so happy to seem Brer Rabbit hopping along. I hope he is not broken already. Who knows what it will look like by the time we get back early-November.
