It may be a bit too popular on here to trash Disney. We need to praise them when they get it right.

Everyone seems to complain a lot on here about screens... Universal has heavily used screens in the past couple years of attractions, but is lauded in these threads. Here comes Disney with a nicely themed small coaster with small but excellent show scenes and top notch animatronics. Hardly a positive post in the News and Rumors section.

For what it is, a family coaster, it seems 7DMT is about as impressive as it could be.

I think the ride is nice, but a bit short. That seems to be the common opinion.

Planes got to $90 million (with Smurfs 2, Turbo, DM2 and Monsters U taking up family audiences the month before, plus Percy Jackson 2 opening weekend)

Without all of the competition, it would have probably gotten $110-120 million

Considering TMNT is the only major kiddie competition after Planes 2, a $140 million DOM/$210 million foreign isn't too farfetched.

Dragons 2 will be a behemoth though. $340-380 million total DOM and likely approaching $900 million to $1 billion WW if it's a solid follow-up or gets raves like the first film
since when Michael Bay's TMNT monstruosity is "for kiddies" ?
it looks like to appeal to those "explosions everywhere" bayformers "fans".

also, why only take domestic gross only? it took 270 million and chunk worldwide plus video sales.

interestingly.. Rio is doing way better than amazing spiderman 2 and captain america in my country.

I haven't even heard of Box Trolls!

Million Dollar Arm was probably made for peanuts so it doesn't have to do much to be successful.

Maleficent will all depend on word of mouth. If it's Alice, it will be unstoppable; if it's Oz, it will bomb hard.

Spider-Man 2 isn't getting good reviews so that could be a dud if the word of mouth is bad. It will have a great first two weeks though regardless.

Blended looks like the latest in a long line of Sandler bombs. Bad Neighbors is wait and see.

I have no idea what to think of A Million Ways to Die… It's another one that will depend on word of mouth. It might just be silly enough to grab all of the teen through 30 crowd and do quite well.

It's a crappy summer line-up if you ask me.
Boxtrolls is probably of the same style as other 2 great movies.. Paranorman and Coraline.
Gaining cult as they go.
I really liked Paranorman.. all these movies have the "Tim Burton but for kids" feels.

Yes, I'm well aware of the situation. The victim is a friend of mine and there's no need to bring all of that into this forum. This has been an on-going situation involving many victims for at least 18 months.
So, this person as been bullying nonstop to different groups of people including your friend? disgusting.

TMNT is being produced by Nickelodeon! That right there tells you who it's aimed at...the Tweens...

I will say from what I've seen in the trailers so far at work, I am not impressed at all! I will take my old school ninjas any day!

Definitely agree that coraline and paranorman appealed to kids, but box trolls looks down right scary and I'm a grown adult. Even the "human characters" you see in the trailer have a very creepy vibe to them...

probably because TMNT 's rights were purchased using the Nickelodeon brand, and not the parent company.

the TV series in the other hand, is doing really well.. Nick ordered the 4th season already!
And to be honest as a TMNT fan.. I love the new series.

the Bayformer version? Not in the minimum.. Shrek + Whoopy golberg with these huge "er up" faces?
Nah, the only one who looks sort of tolerable.. is Donatello.

Well that disney expert has been wrong on multiple accounts. As far as I'm concerned half the wdwmagic fanbase know as much as him.

Anyone can classify themselves as "Experts" nowadays.
Having the credibility.... well that is another thing.

And you're wrong.

If you don't drop it, I post game of thrones stuff. The books came out years ago… So how can it be a spoiler?

It's the same logic so if you want to continue to argue with
I have no skin in this game either way, Star Wars or Game of Thrones, but it seems that a logical comparison would be posting a Game of Thrones casting update, not posting actual content from the books.

While you have the right to be disappointed that the appearance of certain characters in the new movie will no longer be a surprise for you, the circumstances by which they appear and what they do are still very much unspoiled.

I agree. We need to praise them when they do something right. Mine Train looks really good. A solid family coaster with pretty cool AAs and a great addition to FL. It's visually stunning from the outside (check out the overhead shots from the helicopter on the main page). It's well done and has exceeded most people's expectations. It's too short to be a true e-ticket. That's not really a criticism, just a statement of opinion that's shared by most of us.

I think if you scroll through the various threads on the soft openings and ride through video you'll find plenty of positive posts.
